26:20 Two things that God is looking for, two things that will save us - "holy conduct" and "godliness". "Holy conduct" is how others see us, and "godliness" is how God sees us on the inside. That is all that matters forever, and that is what the book of Revelations teaches us.

@Dan We are saved by grace - but faith without works is dead.

@@AliceSusanHarding Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." If we have truly had our hearts of stone replaced with hearts of flesh, our rejoicing nature (having been saved by God, through faith in Jesus) will lead us to want to perform glorifying works in His name, to proclaim the amazing transformation which you had. This is a testimony to others of the amazing power of regeneration of the Lord. Having been regenerated, these people would STRIVE for Christ-like conduct, though we will fall short still.

Wow...I'm glad I heard the rest of the story after his flight story...as I heard,tears ran down my eyes. I'm so glad this teacher realized what he had in his heart,it saddens me though,that many others haven't realized what they're doing,therefore,being ones whom God says,we led his lost sheep astray...we could've found them...but we led them astray...we fed the ones who were overly fed...which became the proud ones...to good to bother with anything that seemed unrighteous...making the world a darker place...because we refused to take their darkness,and share our light,we turned them away...and many,though we claim we're not those people...those people can smell it on us from a mile away...they know it,they feel it...which is why they resent cristianity...we have trampled over Jesus purpose and what he wanted us to do...he died,so that we can share the good news...by showing that it is given...but all they saw is words of love...words if forgiveness...but then the next second...eventually you hear us talking we hate sinners...though we don't say it...the way things come out...the way we sound as we say the things we say...say what's truly in our heart...and I pray that we truly start changing our heart,to the point where we no longer have to remind ourselves as we do these things...because we became the nature which is irremovable, unforgettable...it became a part of us...I hope I can reach it some day also...

I was reading this section of Luke (16:19+) just a few days ago. When I read Luke 22: 66-71 with my wife later, I realized that the words of Abraham in the story of the grave rang true of Jesus concerning the pharasees. Luke 16:31 : but he said to him, 'if they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.' " The pharasees knew Jesus rose after he had died. They paid people to keep it quiet! Yet they were not persuaded to put their trust in him!

Anthrax forms spores. It is well documented that those spores can survive in excess of 20 years (some say 50). That's the real danger of anthrax, namely it's long term survival. It used to be when I was young that any pasture that had a documented anthrax case was taken off the tax rolls because the ground couldn't be used anymore.

@Twila Jones no one is going to raptured away. This was the deluded dream of a girl with a fever. Christians live through the tribulation, and suffer.
@ferrosjewellers45584 жыл бұрын
@@williamfleckenstein7138 WRONG!!.. If this were so, then you make Noah and the ark not valid. Noah preached that calamity was coming and that they should repent and get on the ark. Did they? No. Noah and the family were saved from global destruction. So to does GOD save His chosen from the destruction of the world before the destruction of the world. God saves us through Jesus Christ as an "ark" to be saved before the destruction of the wicked. GOD would not let Christ's bride suffer the wrath of God that is poured out on the wicked. Once the rapture happens, there will be no more true Christians/bride saved in this dispensation of Grace on the earth. They believed by faith in the promise of rapture preached by Paul. Folk like yourself, Joel oosten, Joyce Meyers, Beth Moore and the like, that don't believe in God's promise for this dispensation of Grace, will stay behind. God willing He saves you William, maybe you would be a tribulation Saint or maybe you worship the Anti-christ. If you can't believe now, what are the chances you will believe later? William, repent of your ignorance and be saved.

I was thinking about something recently. I know that Jesus is God, have been a Christian for many years. I even went to seminary to get a degree, and now reach out to the hopeless on the streets of Portland. I have a question, that the Holy Spirit laid on my heart, and wanted to see if my theology is correct. Jesus being sovereign over everything died so that mankind could be saved from our fallen state. Is it safe to assume that in spite of everything which happens in the world God has ordered the events of time in such a way that the maximum number of people who could ever be saved have come to the knowledge of Christ through the Holy Spirit? There's only one verse I can think of which would counter this thought (Romans 9:18). Knowing all of the scriptures which testify to the agape Love of Christ towards mankind I would think that my thoughts are correct, that he would save the maximum number of people possible. Does that sound theologically correct or am I missing a verse which might refute that thought?
