Hello sir is they look at 10th and 12th percentages. As IIMs focus on academics. I am an average student I got 72% in 10th and 70% in 12th. Can i get admission in UBS chandigarh or BHU.if i score 90 percentile and above in CAT. I am 3rd year student and persuing B.com from Distance university (IGNOU). please tell me sir. Yes absolutely, however I'll suggest you to go for good MBA Exec. Programs in the country. ISB and main IIMs would be some great options!

Buddy, GDPI is make or break in UBS. People with 93-94%ile also don't get core branch and people with 86-87%ile also get core branch because of GDPI. Ya toh fir tod fod CAT score le aao, like 95-96%ile fir pakka miljayegi, altough i don't recommend this because admission toh leloge baad me placements ke time recruiters ke saamne jo GDPI hoga uska 10x level hota hai. Toh daro mat practice karo, kuch rocket science nahi h, it's just in your head bahar nikalo isko.

Can't assure cuttoffs for reservation categories it depends on the number of students applying under that category and their CAT score. Still a safe score would be ahead of 85%ile for core program.

Quite significant since some of the unclaimed reserved seats will be converted into general. In my batch the seats were closed at 198-200 merit! (General)

CAT is the only gateway as of now for the MBA program, for general category a safe score would be 92-93%ile + coupled with good GDPI performance. Although since you haven't attempted CAT yet, just telling that UBS should not be your focus, its ofcourse a great backup option but plz aim big, its free. Aim for main IIMs only!

@@lakshaytomar1584 GDPI makes a difference at the end, if you do well you may as well be ranked better in merit list. Now, that's subjective ROI for me is never just about me putting in 10 rs and getting 20 rs back. ROI should also include factors like learning, growth, environment, peers etc etc any main IIM wouldn't be a regret even if you take 100% education loan. But anyways all this comes after you score 98-99%ile in CAT, wishing you the best!

It's not about the subjects, you're literally restricting yourself from a multitude of roles and opportunities post MBA. MBA core is hands down the best course at UBS!

MBA core enables you to experiment and find your passion/area of interest (Finance/Marketing/Operations/HR/Strategy) unlike IB which is inclined towards marketing

If you stay close to Chandigarh go for UBS, if close to Delhi go for DSE. If neutral, I'd say DSE has a slight advantage over UBS for better location.

The problem with DSE is the lack of hostel facility And I might get hostel in UBS within 3-4 months and the mess food is also good here. I just wanted to know if DSE HR placements are better than UBS HR so that I would make a better decision.

@@getfitwithvashu That's what im saying, DSE being in Delhi is close to corporates as compared to UBS in Chandigarh. Speak with DSE students for HR placements, in UBS a couple of good companies come and hire for HR students exclusively but the left over students in HR struggle later on. Whatever topic you find difficulty in, look for videos on KZbin they are easily available. One of my favorite youtube channels back when i was preparing for CAT was Rodha. Look for it!

I too got in with 80%ile into HR and EP program, there are many factors that determine cutt offs for a particular year. Previous years have not been as rewarding due to revival after covid and then recession.

Assuming you're a general category student, a CAT score of 92-95%ile would be suffice to convert a core seat where you get marketing as a specialization. For HR program, CAT score of 85-90%ile should be suffice. Graduation percentage matters but not for admission as long as you qualify the minimum criteria of 50% aggregate. Nobody is below average its just your below average mind telling that to you, just work hard.

PUMET is for UIAMS which is another department that offers niche MBA options like Retail Management, Hospitality etc. UBS 'ONLY' accepts CAT score and UIAMS is no where compared to UBS for MBA.

Hi, if your current mock scores reflect over and above 95%ile fill forms for FMS, JBIMS (if from Maharashtra), MDI Gurgaon, SP JAIN Bombay, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi. So here's a trick that Bschools play to mint more money, majority of these colleges will keep their admission application deadline just before CAT score comes out or even earlier. So, you need to keep a track of the application deadlines, many CAT prep institutions or even youtube channels share these deadlines regularly so you can stay updated there. Hope it helps

Buddy as explained its difficult to predict cuttoffs for reserved categories, it depends on the no of candidates under your category and how much have they scored, still id say 85%ile + would be safe. All the best!

There's no gender ratio for any program, admission is purely on merit basis. Curriculum of EP is 99% exactly same as Core an you can check the same on UBS Brochure.
