First and foremost, am Kenyan. Not understanding swahili doesn't mean that you cannot react to a song. Heck 98% of the universe loved DESPACITO yet we couldn't understand what Fonsi was singing. We need to agree that in this one Nyash came through but in terms of sound and beats, the producer wasted him. This is the only way we will all grow our Kenyan music. By saying what is the truth and not judging by the basis of "he is our superstar" or not. If you give us something poor, that is not near to what we know you can give, we should come out and say it straight to their faces. Otherwise, they will think that they are doing good and continue giving us crap music and beats. A 6/10 for this one is actually okay. People should stop forcing Nyash down others' throats by the way. If it is good it is good.
@richieragz93426 жыл бұрын
Ati the producer wasted him? Your level of stupidity is worrying What if someone like Justin would have done the same song with the same beats and lyrics wouldn't be topping charts? Learn to appreciate your own puga!!

The thing about Nyashinski is he's a good writer. Very careful with his words and written in Swahili. He's almost like Kanye. You'd have to understand swahili to love his music very well.

I thought about the best way to put this to you. So here it goes: if you're reacting to the storyline in the video that's fine. But if you are reacting to the music then maybe just avoid Nyashinski's music. Part of his genius is his lyrical prowess. But you don't understand the language so you shit on his music (second reaction video now). You're not the target audience for this. I mean I love Khaligraph but sometimes his verses can be a bit flat just cause they rhyme. But y'all love that because he uses English. So next time either get someone who understands Swahili on your team or just don't react to such music. Stick to those artists that are trying to reach a wider audience with the language and the style overall.

I don't know if someone below has already explain, but I'll still explain. In the beginning when the boy is on the phone he's asking his brother for money ( Nyash says that in the lyrics but in kiswahili) . Then when they are chilling by the bench and what not ,that other girl comes out of the expensive car the girl is tempted by the lifestyle, when the guy stares at her he's sort of lamenting.She dresses up because she's fallen into the trap and she goes off with the sponsor and the guy sees through his window. When the black car drives off while she's there she's refusing the sponsor, hence his happiness and why they run off together

What a load of rubbish. You do not understand the lyrics and you do not have the humility to ask for a translation of the lyrics and to digest it prior to “reacting” to the video. Maybe I am asking too much, but please respect our music and our culture. Have the decency to understand that which you critique. Watching the weaved lady jumping up and down at the start of Gobisoqolo and the slow guy to her left opening the hole in his face to rubbish Nyash’s masterpiece is the story of ignorance. I repeat, show some respect to the music and artists who are the lifeline of your channel by, at the very least, understanding that which you seek to critique. 🤦🏾♀️

For these self appointed 'judges' trying to make themselves relevant in the music industry get us a song that we can listen to then we can listen to your critic on nyashinski's song. And who is this dude...Bryan you claim to be kenyan yet you cant at the very least pronounce bebi bebi like it should; You are an embarrassment to our country This is a great song with a great message but this can only resonate to people who have REASON something you clearly lack.
@UbunifuSpace6 жыл бұрын
lool will never understand this logic that you can not pass an opinion on something unless you actually do it yourself. Like say i guess you may watch a sport lets say football and lets say for argument sake you support Arsenal. You saying Ozil played rubbish last week etc is only valid if you yourself are a professional footballer? at the end of the day what we do is give our opinion to a song, we could sit here and say every song is great, but im sure if we did not all the time we would be called fake. We have been doing these reactions since jan 2017 and it seems this whole line of 'you should only react to what you understand' pops up when we may not rate a song as high as maybe the fans may think but guess what that is also an opinion. If you listen to Monique and Bryan at the end they highlight a valid point, we are all from different locations at the end of the day the whole point of reactions is to give our honest first time reactions from another region. Just because a song is doing great in one region does not mean it will equally be received in the same way. I could point you to a song we done last week that is in French, It is a popular song over there, but does that now you mean YOU have to like it as much as them?? I would think No because you are entitled to your opinion. Finally on Bryan yes he does not understand Swahili but that has been a known factor since the beginning, so why is it that he is only a 'disgrace' when the group as a whole rates a song not as high as people may think, why was this same energy not shown in reaction such as Sauti Sol - Melanin or Darassa - Muziki, bit odd don't you think?

Instead of writing a whole book in response to my comment...consider this a challenge; get one of nyashinsky's hit's (after his come back) and share with the public a video of what you have managed to come up with and make sure it has more likes and comments than Nyashinski has managed to get on youtube or better yet come up with a song from scratch and get it out here for us to critic
@UbunifuSpace6 жыл бұрын
VICTOR MUTO lool victor we are not in competition with him he is an musician we are a you tube channel. He puts his art out to a public domain to receive a range of comments and opinions the same way we voiced ours here and you have voiced yours. The same we put out our content into a public domain to receive opinions both good and bad such as your opinion on this specific reaction. I'm not going to now turn to you and say create your KZbin channel like ours and get as many subs as ours before you can comment how we do stuff, it does not work like that. The funniest thing is your mad at us for voicing our honest opinions yet your doing the same thing loool, so i should be mad at you because you don't like our videos. Its not hating it is just our opinions at the end of the day, we sat there silently, we took in the song and we came with our opinions. Just because we may not feel a song does not equate to 'hating' on the artist. Its like i could drop a link and tell you listen to a UK song we posted last week called 'mist- game changer' you may not like it, but we wouldn't turn to you and say you are now a hater of him. Its just your opinion. Monique & Bryan explain this perfectly at 10:15

I don't understand why you people are hating on this reaction, because reactions are meant to see how people feel about the kind of music we listen to and not to like it just to please us. you don't have to understand a language to tell if whether you like that type of music, is all about the rhythm and creativity in making that video.

Nyash is a great lyricist, one of them old school artists from early to mid 2000s that took a hiatus from the music industry for years and has managed to make a name for himself after his return to the game. His music is unique (not like much of the bubble gum *ish out there) for sure, like he's a living legend so you understand why we catch feelings when you underrate his work

Okay, so let me break this down a lil bit. *My own perspective* Nyashinki is trying to pass across the message of perseverance in relationships. Some ladies tend to be swept away by luxurious stuff from other rich guys(sponsors) when in reality the sponsors are just there to use them. They then leave their "poor guys" cause they can't provide "THE IT LIFE" which they can easily get from the sponsors. Either way, the "poor guy" clearly loves the girl and treasures what they've been through (the struggles/ thick& thin kinda sh*t). He asks the girl to just persevere since he's determined to get rich and once he does he won't forget where they've come. I believe Nyashinski is trying to address common issues in our society in this era through his music. Anyone can get the message through the video but more info is in the lyrics. Lets just focus on the message, can we?

First of all, this is not an easy song. I didn't get the feel of it when I first listened to it but I ALWAYS give music second, third, fourth or even fifth chances and I understand Ubuifu Space giving it a six on the first 'listening'. But I wouldn't really judge it that way. This song is DOPE y'all don't even understand. Nyash is in a class of his own and his unique music draws only those who really have a deep understanding of his kind of music and after listening to this almost 100 times I'd give it a 11/10

Hello Kenyans. I'm a Kenyan like you and in my honest opinion I'll say 1. I think it's only fair to allow people have preferences on their kind of music we can't all have the same taste of music... we really don't have to understand the language to like the music ..bashing someone cuz he doesn't like ur preference it's not fair 2.Disagreeing with someone/something can't be defined as hating. but simply stating ur view abt that particular topic. Just like I said earlier, we all have preferences. 3. I think it's so lame throwing shades @Brian cuz he doesn't understand or speak swahili. My mum is luo and my dad is luhya. I've lived in Nairobi since childhood and i can't speak or even greet In my mother tongue does that mean I'm pretending? No 4. I don't know why and how it still amazes me how people on social media are so savage and cruel to strangers. What a broken people we are.... We need to change...

The moment he/she puts him/herself in the public eye to react to songs regardless of his/her personal taste...it is only fair the judge understands other people's tastes. Otherwise they should not react to what they don't understand if they only consider what makes them happy.

@TONYE is so blonde in his judgement, @SADE some Swahili lessons are in order and @Bryan its 'baby baby' not 'bebe bebe' ...Nyashinki's Bebibebi is a 9/10 ( just coz my teachers never gave me 10/10)

hey i am a great fan like i started watching your videos a few weeks ago but the song is that the lady who passed and said hi to the man made the other lady also get a man so that they could like be equal so basically Nyashinski is telling people that money shouldnt fool them the part he says mtoto wa mama usiharibike like don et the money fool you sponsors just wanna use you that is how i understood the song.STAY BLESSED

Hi Ubunifu... I share the sentiments of most of the viewers in this post... I wish you can understand swahili and sheng in particular you would have given it the proper rating something like a 9... In my opinion Nyashinski is talented and the creativity that was done in terms of Lyric and putting everything so well in a song... Still I must admit am not mad at you guy. Lots of respect. Keep up the good work. We hope one day you guys can come to Kenya understand the history, trends and the sheng... you will admit this song was a 9 out of 10.

I am just wondering, how do you analyse a music who's lyrics you don't understand? To me it appears that you only analyse the video.
@UbunifuSpace6 жыл бұрын
melodies, rhythms, beats. Im sure you have come across songs from other countries that you may not understand lyrically but the song has your attention. That is how we rate songs that we may not understand, music is universal after all right?

Y'all needed to listen to it with headphones... Gems are hidden in the beats. And yeah, a huge chunk of the lyrics is the beauty of the song

The song basically means the girl in the song should stand by the guy when he is broke so that when he becomes rich or makes it in life he will also be by his girls side ..... just like obama and michelle hehehe

Also ouuuuuuch, damn you people, that song is a 10/10, but anyway, we shall swallow the pain and offense because you are entitled to your opinion. I've concluded that y'all react to visuals and beats! You can't rate that which you don't understand. The reaction and comments from swahili speakers should tell you something. Stick to bubblegum music and club bangers, Shinski's music doesn't fall in that category. I, however, acknowledge that everyone is entitled to their opinion ✌
