Long Term Care Workers in Canada: “We Needed Help, but We Were Supposed to Be the Help.”

Dr. Bonnie M. Lashewicz and her research team from the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Cumming School of Medicine have conducted 80 plus interviews with long term care workers across Canada. Using the real words of long term care workers, researchers Mona Aboumrad and Cera Cruise, alongside Calgary-based Broken Pencil Studios, have created a video animation to tell the story of what it was like, and what it continues to be like, to work in long term care during the Covid-19 pandemic in Canada.
