Okay I don’t know where your comment went but Shamar if you see this, your application is not dependent on your SAT score, I definitely think that a score of 830 is kinda risky but I think if you show UCF you have potential in other ways with a killer essay and extracurriculars, you will have more of a chance. 😊

Hi. Thank you for the video! Yes, I have some questions, please: 1) Who do usually check your quizzes/tests/etc - alumni or your actual professors? 2) Is it possible to meet with your professor when you need some help or questions, etc? If yes, how hard or easy is it to get? 3) What sizes of classes do you have? 4) Do you have any info on Engineering school - how hard is studying there? 5) What is happening on the campus right now in 2021? Is it extremely restrictive? Are your classes in person? Do you have any events in person? Are parents allowed on campus? Thank you very much in advance!
@kathyxli243 жыл бұрын
Hi there! sorry I am just seeing this now but you're welcome for the video! Make to subscribe for more college, florida lifestyle, and disney inspired content! 1) Professors and TAs usually grade your quizzes and tests especially if there are short answer or essay questions involved but sometimes if its a simple multiple choice quiz online, then the system just automatically gives you a grade afterward. Grading information is usually written in the course syllabus. 2) Yes this is also mentioned on the course syllabus. Professors have office hours where you can meet with them either virtually or in person depending on theirs and your comfort level with the current times. From my experience, it's sometimes easier to meet with the TA of the class for help instead of the professor but again, you just have to reach out for help if you need it. 3) I typically take around 13-15 credits which is about 3-5 courses and each course really varies in size. My freshman year pre-covid, my statistics course was 300+ students in a lecture hall and I also had an english course that was only 12 students. This past year, all my classes have been online. 4) I personally don't have any experience as I am not an engineering major but I've been in the building for one of my classes last spring and it is really big and there are a lot of study spaces. For more information on UCF's engineering program, I recommend visiting this website: www.ucf.edu/college/engineering-computer-science/ 5) Firstly I recommend visiting this website: www.ucf.edu/coronavirus/update-on-our-return-to-more-normal-operations/ for updates for the upcoming semesters. There are definitely both virtual and in person events. A good way to find them is through this website called Knight Connect where students can RSVP to a lot of the in person or virtual events at UCF. and finally happy to help! Hi! Im about to become a freshman in high school and UCF is one of my dream schools! However, I don’t know if they will accept me because I don’t know my passion, which makes it hard to decide which extracurricular activities I should do. I plan to get really good grades and high academic scores. So, I was wondering if extracurriculars are important or not?
@kathyxli243 жыл бұрын
Hi! Extracurriculars are definitely important! I was really involved in high school and even though I didn’t get the highest SAT scores and I got average grades. I think extracurriculars and my involvement is actually what got me into UCF 💛🤩
@riannadouglas68873 жыл бұрын
Try volunteering extracurriculars like key club or the rotary club, I got accepted to UCF and I didn’t know my major yet so I was undeclared but I was in key club, volleyball and softball so I think it helps

Hi :) I have a question..... Is laundry free at UCF and are there air conditioners in the rooms!?
@kathyxli249 ай бұрын
Okay this is a year later but I’m so sorry I can’t believe I missed this comment! Laundry used to be free at the Rosen campus but main campus was always charged through quarters. now it’s done through an app called speed queen and I believe it’s $1.00 to wash and like $1.25 to dry? Not 100% sure on the pricing but what’s nice is you see the availability of the washer and dryers on every floor so you don’t have to lug all your clothes over just to see that all the machines are being used and you can use ucf knights cash to pay through the speed queen app as well! 💛🖤

Hey so question! If I wanted to own my own bakery, would I major in Hospitality or Business?
@kathyxli242 жыл бұрын
okay firstly that's so awesome! Secondly, I think business might be good to start with and you can always take hospitality or restaurant management as a certificate/minor later on. Most of the classes in that program can qualify for your restricted electives as well. I also encourage you to talk to the advisors during or after orientation to just triple check what the best courses to take would be. Here's more information on the UCF's Rosen College program: www.ucf.edu/degree/hospitality-management-bs/. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

I want to transfer to ucf to study entertainment management, yet they don't respond to me because one of the minimum courses is still missing from my transcript. I am doing comp 2 right now, I will end this course at Broward college in July and then send my official transcripts to ucf, but also is pending Current Course Semester Grades - Fall of 2021 so is there a chance that by sending those transcripts I might be able to be admitted, or I necessarily need to wait to finish college and completing the last minimum course comp 2? any help please
