I think cafeteria area is not the best choice for food😅 and if you are using public transportation, the bus comes every hour and parking situation is a bit rough. Hopefully, you would survive!👍

Hey, I just got into UCI for Fall 2020. The course is expected to start in September. How is the situation over there? And are all the classes online? And if yes, are the online classes really worth it?

Hey Abhishek, congrats on getting into UCI! I'm one of the mentors here at A2F so I hope the video was helpful. UCI's fully online for classes right now and a good amount of them have recorded lectures, so it feels more like a self-paced class than it normally would. The experience of taking the classes are definitely different but it's all the same professors as before and the same content, just different delivery and different format/structure for the classwork and tests. Hope that helps!

It's wonderful. I have a pretty high chance of getting in but I will depend on campus jobs. Is it easy to find jobs in campus, especially for international students?

Hi! Unfortunately, as an international student, it's likely that you can only take jobs that qualify for CPT. Outside of campus, there aren't many. You can always ask your international student services if there are exceptions because of Covid. Luckily, international students can get on-campus jobs without CPT! What's best is always to talk to the int'l student counselors for latest for jobs at dining halls and other on campus updates/news.

Yes, You can find a job on campus! I am an international student at UCI. I used to work at the economics learning center as a peer assistant. I'm sure you will be able to find other jobs as well. Good luck :)

Hey Justin, yep it's true. There's a huge Asian population at UCI. It's usually about ~50% Asian, which is higher than the other ethnicities. (37% Asian-American, and a significant portion of the 33% international students are also asian)

The campus's gym, the Anteater Recreation Center (ARC) is effectively free - your membership is covered by your tuition, so you are free to go whenever you'd like!
