As an honourablemention, I think we could also talk about Brooke Lynn Hytes being screwed by the "twist" of Vanessa Vanjie Mateo returning for another season. She was screwed over by production for the sake of storyline and lost her shot at the crown with an unnecessary bottom. We could obviously talk about the winner/loser circle, or Veronica Green being screwed by Covid-19, even if it's not a propre production twist, more a kinda real life twist!

Add Jujubee to the screwed ones. Jujubee would have been in the top 2 almost the whole season, and then she got a single win (which, to me, should have gone to the winning team exactly as it happened in as6 but whatever) and it was the single time, apart from Yvie, when the lipsync assassin was really there to slay. The episode where neither Shea nor Cracker were even remotely near the top, surprising.

But they switched it up, and neither the actual first episode of Season 9 nor the first challenge with an elimination were design challenges. Honestly, the Chad one makes perfect sense 'cause it's kinda the same way I think about Darienne in S6 when she got massively screwed over by the F4 challenge not being an actual challenge, but being a filler episode. Let's all be honest, if that were an actual challenge, Darienne 100% wins that 'cause she destroyed everyone in that music video (and the whole set too). Chad getting screwed over is even worse in retrospect 'cause um... Oof optics in making the racist white person the hero and the POC queen into a raging villain.

Juju and Alexis lost multiple opportunities to be too 2 or win more episodes (Alexis should’ve won snatch game). And the whole India Ferrah situation turned the whole cast on Alexis.

I feel like we could make an argument for Brooke on season 11. They randomly added a bottom 2 lipsync on the final episode (never done before or after) just for the drama of brooke and vanjie lipsyncing. This, I feel, was the justification the production used to crown yvie over Brooke, as if that had not happened it would of been Brooke's 3 wins and eternal high placements vs yvies 1 joint win and more varied placements of high, safe, low. Brooke would of spent 9/11 weeks in the top, while yvie only had 6/11 ( not including the queen's everywhere episode).What the showed, especially without that random final bottom, was Brooke hands down winning the season and I truly believe without that last bottom, her win would of been undeniable by production.

So here’s some tea about Coco and the Janet Song. The reason why they will use other copyrighted music sometimes is because of licensing prices vary greatly. Some songs are cents and some are thousands and thousands of dollars. Licensing a Janet song is much much much more expensive than licensing a Dabarge song. So, the show not wanted to pay the ridiculous licensing fee for 1min or less of 1 contestant is pretty understandable given they had not moved to VH1 yet and Logo had a much much smaller licensing budget that had to cover the entire season. They couldn’t drop that much money on a single contestant, that would not be fair. Now you will see copyright music used in the show more since the show moved to VH1. CBS/Viacom has a bank of music they have permission to use in shows on their networks, it’s actually quite probable that if AS2 had been on VH1 that Coco could have done her Janet Act. This is also why the music has gotten progressively better and has more Top 40 (at the time) current hit, why they could use Rhythm of the Night, and why Kerri could do Nikki in the talent show. CBS has the licensing budget. Edit: notice with Rhythm of the Night they only loop the same 5 sec….that’s all they licensed. Coco couldn’t perform to 5 sec of a Janet song so the two aren’t really comparable

I thought that the original “All Stars” was made because the producers regretted crowning Sharon in season 4, and they wanted to make it up to Chad by having this series. I also think Alexis Mateo got screwed out of her season on “All Stars 5”. Alexis was showing what a strong performer she was in the game, but I guess the producers didn’t want her in the top 3. When she got chosen during her Dating Game, they introduced the twist that anyone who didn’t outright win was automatically in the bottom. Plus, having the producers introduce the narrative that she was conspiring to eliminate queens (which turned out to be completely false) tried to make her look more like a villain.

I feel like Sharon needles on season 4 would of won anyway because she was wildley favourited. She won four challenges and she deserved at most two. I can accept episode 1 and 3. That debate challenge was won by Chad, hands down. They are drag queen presidents, why would you play serious, chad nailed it. Plus chad had one of the best runways on the season and sharon wore a costume she had already and made up an excuse to make it fit. The final ball challenge was even worse, sharon had awful looks for part 1 and 2 of that challenge, they were normal clothes coupled with bad makeup and flat wigs. I feel like jaremi clearly won that challenge and I will die on that hill.

I can only think of Thorgi in AS3. The episode where she was sent home was a hard pill to swallow. I always think of shea hadn’t been screwed on her season and wasn’t on AS jujube would have had as5 and if Chad had won we may not have had any all stars season for a few more years

For me Shangela knew that she is not gonna win in the moment that she knows that the eliminate queens had the final desition because she realiza the ""karma"" is gonna hit her. Shangela did it fine in AS but she also focus more on give us good television over the competition. Secret aliances, starten cheap drama, and heer confetionals being funny but really shady so i think the eliminated queens just did'nt see that atitud as fair.

Oh come on. It is pretty clear that queens put up a personality when they are on a show. Shangela is a very humble queen in real life. She might have come across as very strategic queen in the season but that made a good hella television. You guys are too sensitive, being shady doesn't mean that a queen is a horrible person.

@@a.s.03 relax i never say she is bad person out of the show, i just say is kinda obvious that she focus more on being the star over the competition thats all, just watch her interview with the eliminated queens, she knows that she is not gonna win and the queens clearly say that her strategy was the reason why they don't vote for her. Also so many drag race girls say that she is everything but not necesary humble, i just say if so many people say it it has to be some tru behind but who knows maybe is like phihi, she is a nice person irl but in the show looks like a malitious person.

@@a.s.03 about the personality factor is true i mean Kenedy was in the top 2 but that means that the other queens didin't apreciate the attitude of Shangela and Bebe. I don't dislike Shangela but because i like her i wont be a fanboy and see her as a perfect godess, for the other girls she did once again start drama and then play the victim, act perfect in the confesional giving her opinion about other girls in a good way (as a viewer) but not as a friend/competidor for example making fun of milk awful celine dion, or calling deila a "fake whore" and strarting shit with Trixie and Thorgy. She give us good Tv and drama of course but there is the risk and reason why in the latest season the girls are so afraid of start real drama... you never know how the things gonna turn
