First- if a Middle East scholar drafted a quiz on Israeli/Palestinian history and gave it to the kids protesting at UCLA and gave the same test to 50 of you all commenters here I’ll bet $100 against $20 these kids would score 150% of y’all commenters’ scores. 2nd I participated in divestment protests in the late 1980’s. 3 years later Nelson Mandela walked out of prison and became South Africa’s President a few years later. Finally, Brown University’s Board of Trustees agreed to hold a vote on divestment from companies working with the IDF. Kids broke down the encampment immediately after.
