Trying to focus on my business and expand it to different countries but college holding me back.. not because of it being difficult but I'm an international student in Mauritius from South Africa and just struggle with the curriculum here. Doesn't necessarily have to be discipline either, you can start a sport, and find one that you like. Then you'll probably be going for several seasons a week (I got into climbing at the rock wall at ucla). After a year I have a six pack that I didn't train for, and (imo) look as fit as Richard. I've been climbing for over a year, three times a week, 2-3 times a week

I'm not qualified to give advice but I would say how secure do you feel about getting a a job you know you will enjoy and pays well after college? If you dont have a specific job or career lined up directly after college (ex: doctor, lawyer...) and you have a passion for business then why not focus on that and hustle to do college work on the side or maybe only 1 or 2 semesters a year. Online colleges or college degree plans are becoming more accredited and accepted by employers around the nation. There are benefits to having a degree but it will be more efficient to get your business going now and work both later than to have a degree and no plan

uglypoe They do. The reason is that UCLA does not have undergrad business program while USC does. UCLA has business economics major, which is an applied/practical economic degree. But, I think USC has an edge on the business side since they have their business program at the undergrad level.

@uglypoe UCLA has lots of business and entrepreneurial clubs, as well as the minor in the latter to which Richard had attached to his degree. UCLA stresses involvement and not to be so singularly minded as to just bury one's head in one's studies. So what's helping UCLA students land top finance-based consulting, analyst, and even IB jobs is their involvement: taking internships, being involved in investment clubs, and just generally being engaged. You won't find many at UCLA who just study, and I don't think sleep is a big concern of many of the students there because they have a lot of things going besides school. As far as the latter, UCLA is one of the most entrepreneurial-based colleges in the nation. I think a lot of this springs forth from its Engineering school and it's more high-tech based, startups, etc.

I’m about half way through reading Can’t Hurt Me and am loving it! We are capable of so much more than we can fathom, and I’m confident that God will give you the strength and guidance to reach your goal. Many times when I feel anxious about my future, I turn to Psalm 23. Although we my may not know where our life may take us, God provides us with constant direction and protection. I wish you nothing but the best as you finish your degree at UCLA. God bless!

yo richard another question. So i am about to apply to college soon, and I was thinking about what to major in. I currently go to a special high school for entrepreneurship, but I recently switched to computer science, to get a feel for it. I really want to major in some tech entrepreneurship field, but i have heard mixed reviews about this. People say many people major in business, which is why there is no demand for it. But there will always be a demand in the computer science field, which is why they say that is what I should major in. But i do not always want to work a 9-5 job my whole life, you know. Do you think you could give some feedback on this? That would be amazing!

Hey, I actually went into my software engineering major and I switched to business due to my calling... yea I had one more semester left but after my business started I noticed I didn't have time so I went with what felt right to me. So I feel that go with your gut feeling in this case.. yeah there isn't demand in business or rather low demand in it.. which is true. But truth is what path are you choosing... you could work 9-5 for someone or work 40hrs a week for yourself. Trust your intuition.
