Whoaaaa how did you get a single room as a freshman???? I thought freshmen could only get double or triple rooms (those are the only options I see on the housing application too). Please let me know how!! Having a single room is a dealbreaker for me when choosing a college.

I originally was in a triple but then there was a single room that opened up so I moved into it about a month after school started! I'm sure that if you ask the housing department they can keep you updated if any single rooms open up!

So should I just reply asking if they can keep me updated if any single rooms open up? Or do you think I should just get a single off-campus apartment instead? I committed to UCLA yesterday

@@sparkle0859 yes I would ask them to keep you updated if a single room opens up! And it depends on your preferences if you want to live in the dorms or an off-campus apartment, but I think living in the dorms as a freshman is so fun and a great way to meet people!

Do you know if they prioritize my room type choices over my LLC choices? For context, I put singles at the top of my list, doubles next, and triples last. However, I also applied for the transfer LLC. I know the transfer LLC is only doubles and triples. Will this ruin my chance of getting a single? I would only like to be put in an LLC if singles are not available.

@@meenaroy93 you can bring your car if you want, but most people living in the dorms don't. I usually use Uber or Lyft! Also, Westwood has plenty of stores/grocery stores nearby, which is within walking distance.

CONGRATS that's so exciting! and yes, I am a freshman! It's typically hard to get them right at the beginning of the school year, though. I was originally in a private triple plaza, but I applied to move to a single room halfway through fall quarter. It took a while but one opened up and I was able to move into it!

Hey Girl Hey i know I’m not her, but I’ll answer your question!:) First of all I think you can study to be a vet or something like that, and second of all they have a gymnastics team, you have to study there if you want to be on it. You can’t really be on a dance team because they don’t have one but you can study dance. Hope this helped!c:

I was originally assigned a triple plaza room and lived there for a couple months, then heard that a single opened up so I moved! If you ask the residential life staff for single room openings they can keep you updated!
