UCLA is ranked 6th in the country for reference. Cal State Fullerton has lost the past three games by a high difference and going into the game UCLA were confident based off of this and the wins from their prior games. They forgot the feeling to suffer and hunger for the win and Fullerton simply wanted it more. UCLA is the better team on paper, in this game the mentality wasn’t there though.

I played club soccer at Cal Berkeley in 2018. I think we could have beaten UCLA of today. What I am thinking is that the quality of play for the newer generation has just decreased substantially in the past 5-7 years.

One of the best players on the ball I’ve ever known has had to be moved to left back because of the quality on csuf, don’t let highlights fool you!! These guys are ballers!

@@FernandoGarcia-zu1xl what is csuf? if that's fullerton then I agree they were much better than UCLA. But for UCLA to be this weak is sad. UCLA should be dominating all the Cal States but I guess the players they recruit aren't that quality. I think that generally quality has decreased all around the sport. It has to do with the tactical aspect of the game now which deemphasizes individualism which in turn creates more "robotic" players who just know how to pass and move. The unique quality seen in the 90s-early to mid 2010's has dropped. Just look at how the CAM is basically obsolete and been replaced by CMs, wingers (who can't take players on), and strikers (who miss hella chances).
