So, my thoery. Nightmare was smiling when the scenes of Dream killing people showed. So what is Nightmare is connected to Dream, and sense his body is not strong enough to do all the things he wants (i.e terrorising, killing, maipulating, etc.), then he controls Dream to do it because Dream is phyically stronger than him. The other versions of dream in the stay calm video could be other AUs talking to him (Like the blue one could be a softy AU). See what I'm thinking here?😄

Headcanon: All the Dream Aus are connected so they are aware there are different universes for their smp. Dreamsmp is the main hub where they connect all their worlds together and they hang out there which is why Dream let's no one in his house.

Personal Headcanon is if the opposites visit their counterparts world they get their abilities but only if their counterparts are stronger than themselves. Example: Nightmare who is normally weak in his smp goes to Dreams and gets to use Dream’s abilities and such. Which is why Nightmare is so strong in other worlds but not his own.
