30,000 at the Alamodome - to this day it's the largest crowd to ever see an official women's basketball game at any level (the outdoor game at Iowa this past year was an exhibition).

Love Sue at the free throw line with 30 to go. DT comes up behind her all smiles and says something, but Sue's business face never waivers. "Hey, I'm working here!"

I think they would have trouble with the UConn team that won 4 straight championships. Maybe not in the first 2 years but in the Junior and senior years of that team I think they'd have a real tough time winning.

I forgot how great Swin Cash was at UConn. Then you knew what Taurasi x Bird were as a backcourt. They could’ve beat a few teams in the WNBA fr fr.

College players from this era seem like they are older and more mature than college players today. Just when I watch older games like this, they seem more like they know what they're doing or something. Seems like (back in ye olden days, heh) then, players were more fundamentally sound and today's players are better athletes overall, but not as good with, well, the fundamentals. And I think that's true for even older eras - the players seemed scrappier and had better basketball IQ's, but today's players seem more able to make moves the older players couldn't. (There are exceptions to this, of course). Edit: I can't believe this is 21 years ago already. I feel old.

They didn't have adequate size inside. Oklahoma was playing with a three or four guard offense against a highly skilled center and two excellent forwards. Never had a chance. Same problem UConn has struggled with for the last 10 years. If UConn had had their normal game shooting 3-pointers it would have been a blowout.
