During the game, I loved the way Paige was the first player to try and help the injured Nika get up off the floor.

Every once in a while a player comes around who simply has the “ X “ factor. While I have been somewhat spoiled living in Eugene, OR and watching Sabrina Ionescu over the past several years, it has been truly delightful during the Covid situation to watch Paige play. She is an elite player who has a unique combination of tremendous basketball IQ, pure talent and an attitude of humility that adds up to someone who is destined for a stellar career. I only wish she had chosen to come to the U of Oregon and clearly her choosing U Conn definitely means that they are back at the top of women’s college basketball . In a year or two the Ducks will be ready to compute with U Conn, yet this year it’s Paige and her teammates that look to be the team to beat in March Madness.

Paige and Aaliyah...etc...all very mature freshmen...they play like the Michigan freshmen that went all the way back in the day. Have a great tournament. Tell CD to take you to the Alamo when you win the next game....that would be a nice reward...not that you need any added motivation. Aubrey seems to be playing well also. Hope Nika recovers soon.

she can't leave til 2023 and will probably leave in 2024 so why do idiot fans keep bringing this up. unless they are not uconn fans and want her gone to a league no one cares about. uconn stars were heros in college but their fans don't follow them the same way in the wnba. how many wnba games have you or anyone else followed religously like uconn fans follow uconn.? the whole state of conn. follows these girls. that's bigger than the wnba.

Through the first two rounds the women's game has a better flow to it than the men's. Also, their shooting skills and play making abilities are superior to many of the men's teams.

I started watching FIBA women's basketball maybe six months ago. I discovered Marine Johannes and was hooked. Now I'm finding it a thrill to watch Paige and her mates go fo it. I find women's basketball more exciting than that of the men. I don't miss the flamboyant dunk at all. As a counter to Shak's suggestion that the women lower the rim, I'd much rather see the men raise theirs.
