I think a lot of people miss the point about the American conference. They have a choice to leave the conference but they realize that playing UConn year after year helps strengthen their schools standing. When I played I didn't care whether we won by a blowout or 1 point. when Miss st beat Uconn last year no one said "Oh they only beat them by one or two points." Also the Huskies are helping to draw more attention to the women's game which is still being under-reported. I love women's basketball and especially UCONN. They remind me of the UCLA Bruins under John Wooden when they were the benchmark of excellence in college basketball I hope they NEVER lose.

Maybe UConn can play some men's college teams for charity. That would be a fun game. Right now it is hard to watch, with all the blow outs. Notre Dame doesn't have the talent off the bench to beat UConn.

Uconn was making turnovers and beat on the offensive glass. They will not win against Texas or S Carolina if they don't get better effort of those things.

Just watched texas get it's big old texas sized ass kicked by a really, really lousy team from tennessee. Not seeing much of a threat from texas, as usual. Still don't see how south carolina is going to beat us with more or less than they've had for the last three or four years. Stop Wilson and you've stopped them. And we have stopped her for the last three years and made it look fairly routine.

Well that home court advantage sure helped UConn a lot! If they played Notre Dame again today at Notre Dame, they would leave with a L. But that's O'k because Notre Dame vs. UConn is good for the Women's game. Notre Dame is down to just 10 players left and I just think that they are TIRED! They lose one more player, they won't even be able to scrimmage with one another. If they meet again, trust me UConn will not WIN! Especially if they are not at UConn.

It’s all conditionong. UConn played 7 players, and two of them, Crystal and Napheesa, went the full 40. Last year, UConn basically played six, except when they had a blowout. So there’s no excuse for ND running out of gas.

Hey JSch917, I respect your thoughts everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I respectfully disagree that Notre Dame does not have an excuse to some degree. Not for the game, but for the conditioning. Notre Dame only has 10 players and if they lose just one more, they won't even have enough to scrimmage against one another, but Muffet will not push the remaining players like I would if I had a squad of 15. I am from South Bend and Notre Dame had their best years when my cousin played for Notre Dame. When Skylar was there, Notre Dame won their last 7 out of 8 against UConn! But no matter who wins, the Notre Dame UConn matchup is good for Women's Basketball period! Thanks JSch917 for your corrispondance have a great day!

It is SO ridiculous for the greatest team in the history of women's basketball, and certainly the most dominant in this century to be in such a weak conference. YES, they are terrific year after year, and may be 20-0 anyway at this stage (January 27, 2018) but at least it wouldn't be blowout after blowout after blowout. Boring for the fans, boring for the UConn players, ridiculous for the opposing teams. What do they really learn other than the fact that UConn has five starters who are among the best at their positions in the country. At least Notre Dame, which has dominated the ACC since joining-almost complete domination- has some closer games.

That's why UConn is 0-6 in Overtime matchup, because they don't play anybody that challenges them

I agree, it is ridiculous, but that's what conference their school is in. What can they do? It took the Big East (their former conference) quite a few years to get really good (in women's basketball), - it used to be referred to as the Big Easy, but became one of the better conferences -so maybe this conference will improve. But, I really don't have the patience to wait another few years for that to happen. :) I already went through all those years with their last conference.
