When you say "not easy to add"....can you elaborate? When I ordered a 2024 I did not realize the Willys would not have. But paperwork says "GPS Ready". Yet I can't find a part or details. I'm a huge CarPlay user and fan. But I would Iike built in as a back up

To add it in you'd need the module, wiring and typically a screen replacement with one that has it. The last gen uConnect 4c had a software unlock but I don't think that was carried through to the newer screen

My car play is not working on my 2024 jeep wrangler now. It won’t pick up and give as an option just tells me to make sure device is within range and turned on ! So frustrating

Me too I got issues with the volume behind the wheel is not working and also can use voice call and change de preferences in the screen Also the wheel heater is not working too To many issues in my 2024 Mojave gladiator has only 4500 miles 😢

Can you change the background color? I noticed a darker background on other models. Model specific?

There is a dark mode and then under Apps --> Display there are a few additional options. You can't upload a custom background though...

When u say it’s “not easy to upgrade to Nav” what exactly do u mean? My 2024 Willy’s is on order and had no option for factory nav. But in standard features it does list “gps antenna input”. But I can’t find a Mopar part. Yes, I’m very familiar w/CarPlay and have had a CarPlay unit in my 2016 since 2016. However, it only takes a $100 antenna to have a 2nd GPS or backup, I would think something would want.

I mean that it can't just be added in to the screen. The GPS antenna input is for SiriusXM features. If your screen has the GPS module then that antenna would double for SiriusXM and factory nav.. The screen in the Willy's doesn't have the part for navigation so the whole screen needs to be replaced with one that does have it if you want it added in

You can try adjusting the text size on your phone but it would be a global phone increase and not just for Waze. For Android devices search for Font Size and Style. On iPhone go to Settings --> Accessibility --> Display and Text Size --> Larger Text

I haven't seen an upgrade kit to make it happen.. The 2024 Gladiator got an upgrade to this screen but it's a different module than the last gen in your 2020

Bend a pin accidentally or wires crossed? Could always take it in for a service appt and let them know it's not powering up..

That's where you'd be able to use the phone app for remote starting, unlock/locking doors etc. You can do all the same features from your fob so it's really a matter of preference..

@@CarsWithSteve I'm on Apple Car Play. It displays Google Maps, Next song, and next turn. Just like you showed at 13:28 but with Google maps instead of Waze. Sometimes the clock is there and sometimes it isn't. I wish I could get rid of the Wifi symbol to make more room. On the off road pages there is also supposed to be an icon for Adventure Guides (Trails off road). Mine doesn't have that either.

When using Uconnect 5 navigation, planning a route with waypoints (my own points of interest), HOW DO I SAVE the route when finished? So that it will be there in navigation the next time I want it.????

I haven't found a way to save in routes with waypoints, just an end destination. If I find a workaround, I'll circle back to let you know!

You're welcome! It's something that could be programmed in but I don't think I've come across a manufacturer that lets routes be saved

Yes.. but really? Pause and Rewind are your friend.. or you can try changing the playback speed to 0.75x or something that's easier to follow
