Saw a guy filming from the crowd on the other side of the gym and I thought "that's gotta be moomoocow" 😊 I'm with my daughters under the big California flag. Great game, but UCSB had some communication errors and GCU's offense and serving were first rate. When UCSB barely win the first set I knew trouble was coming. As another commenter said, Bruening and Aruya are just freshman and already hitting hard, looks good going forward for Santa Barbara.

I coach club volleyball in the Cleveland area of Ohio and whenever we go to nationals every year, we always talk about how all these top California teams (who coincidentally are from the area where a lot of these top colleges are from) have these absolutely ginormous kids. We don't have anyone in our club above 6'6, if that, and we have almost 20 teams. I can't think of anyone currently playing in our region above that height either. We watched Bay to Bay play in Chicago recently and they had an Oppo that I swear was pushing 7 feet tall. The coaches always make the joke "what are they feeding these kids in California??"
