Haven't seen a sale like that in years around here. Scrap prices have been too good and estates like this all go for scrap. For the families who inherit the junk it is just scrap and then they sell the land for millions.

Dave, thanks for taking us along. I sure would have been interested in that last car. I had it's twin back in 74, till dad borrowed it and got into a wreck! Would love to find another that isn't totally rusted away. I wonder what those buyers will do to get a legal title? You can't get them licensed without one.

Take the bill of sale and VIN to the DMV (or whatever it's called in your area). They'll do a VIN search to be sure it isn't stolen or salvaged. If everything comes back clean, they'll issue a title.

I wish it was that easy here in Illinois. I did one decades ago here. They Required an army of paper work and an apprasial by a dealer then a insurance company bond for more than the appraised value. Always cost more than the vehicles worth! Oh, and they wanted all the original paper work from when the thing was first bought, If I still had all that, I'd still have the original title!

550 was cheap! In the 40 yrs of going to auctions in central IL , I’ve never seen so many abandoned farmsteads

I'd love to have some of those trucks, especially the cab and a half Dodge! It looked like it had an Adventurer badge at the rear of the bed. If so, that's a higher line model. I'd also love it if we could still buy new tires like it has at a reasonable price. Bias ply tires don't bother me and those are some real diggers!

I would have loved to get that last car you showed, it's a 69 Chevy either and Impala or Bel Air. Impala has 6 tear lights. Bel Air 4. My first car was a 69 Impala and it was awesome.
