This dance is choreographed by Emiko Susilo with music composed by Dewa Putu Berata. It is touching to see the dance performed in Petulu, the village where the Kokokan return each evening- the village that performed powerful ceremonies for the spirits of those killed in the late 1960s.. With Ibu Arini leading the dance, she is the one elder who actually lived through those dark days. I wish I was there to see this performance.
