Cheryl Says Goodbye To Robert & Robin

General Hospital: Robert takes Cheryl's hand for the wedding party dance but shortly after her father cuts in. Sean & Duke find a way to see to it that Robert catches the garder. Tiffany is hoping that Cheryl will catch the bouquet but Robin does instead. Afterwards, Cheryl is packing up to leave PC. She is saying goodbye to Robin when Robert walks in. Robert asks if she knows where is going to go. She says her final goodbyes to Robert and leaves.

I remember watching this back in '88 and when they danced together and the way they looked at each other I thought for sure they were getting back together! I was so heart-broken when she left!

Watching in 2020 - Same here. I thought the breakup was sad but Cheryl remained independent and strong. Robert can hold a grudge for years. Cheryl is still very much in love with Robert. Deep down, she hopes that one day, they get back together. We know it's not gonna happen. The whole Lucas' storyline was like watching new characters. Cheryl comes back as herself, at the very end, when she accepts a new job as a working Mom! Robert and Cheryl were great together, because she wasn't the clinging needy kind of girl.

They seemed to end it on pretty decent terms but when Cheryl came back a year or so later...man, Robert was bitter!

Many different producers and writing teams. Cherly was never an important character. She was always a bridge to build stories around the more predominant characters like Bobby, Robert and even Lucus who is all grown up now on "General Hospital" as a married gay man. I wonder if Cherly is ever even brought up? They brought the actress that portrayed Cherly on last time when she was in a terrible car accident which happened off camera when Cherly was living in another state. She was brought back to lay in a hospital bed, no lines.... She woke briefly in Tiff's dream but died and that was that. Bobby eneded up getting custody of Lucus despite having stole Lucas when he was a baby leaving Cherly to believe her baby died. There is no way any judge would give an ex hooker who stole a baby custody of the very baby she stole 2 year's earlier. ONLY on the soaps..... I haven't watched in SO long. I didn't even watch when these old shows aired so to me they are all new. Goggle keeps me up top date on "GH". I do watch "Y&R" abit on youtube.

I would've liked a Robert and Cheryl reunion. They made a great couple.

@udhoop Are you serious? You really thought by Robert being a gentleman and following the Wedding Dance protocol there was hope of them getting back together? You really were hooked weren't you? I guess you weren't impressed with the blonde who landed at the cottage then? I am glad there was a nice goodbye scene with Robin. What clip is the conception scene?

Lol, GH before the invasion of the mini women. It seems that current GH considers 5 foot 1 to be exceedingly tall.

Cut me some slack DL! I was 15 and remember we didn't have all these spoilers and comings and goings like we do now! I had no idea Cheryl was leaving the show....I think I cried! And no I didn't care for the blonde...I actually stopped watching the show I was so upset! LOL! I'll try and dig up the "Robert's the daddy based one this scene" for you!

Strange, the way I remember it was that Cheryl knew she was dyi g and left a video will give giving Lucas to Bobbie and Tony Jones cause she once heard Tiffany say that her career was more important and had no time for kids so she gave full custody to the Jones. I remember Tiffany being devastated about the whole thing.

Didn't Tiffany initiate a custody battle for Lucas? Cheryl's story was a tragic one. The involvement with Julian Jerome cost her Robert's love and trust.

It makes no sense when Cheryl comes back a year later here she says better no hope than false hope and Robert is very understanding fast forward a year and Cheryl is beyond obsessed with Robert who is resentful and insanely bitter. This was a far nicer ending.
