UDI ARROW 5 MOTOR INSTALL!

Hey man, nice video. Am just about to start my upgrade UDI Arrow build!! So was really helpful as I spent an hour trying to work out where and how to mount motor mount. I always use some very fine chopped up fibre glass (not a lot) but enough to make epoxy bed super strong. Will bring epoxy wall just above the holes in the motor mount on each side of each plate. The hull may break before the mount separates then!! Loving all your videos mate, great keep it up!! Will follow along with this build.👍🏻

This is the type of work I love to see , I normally use super glue then epoxy over it. Great stuff mate ,should be a beast of a thing. I'm always breaking boats or doing this as well. Dam rcs are everywhere, best fun we can have .

nice boat, I just received my motor and esc,im waiting on the motor mount,thanks for all your ideasis that gorilla,epoxy holding up .i also ordered a couple small 4s packs

The gorilla holds ok until a pretty bad crash but for the most part it works. The 2200 4s package are great.

Got the motor mount last week and received the motor today. Looks great! I'll be working on it soon. Question: Is that the factory cable coupler in this video? Does the factory motor have a 5mm shaft as well? Haven't taken it apart. Kind of hard to see, but for some reason, the orginal motor shaft looks smaller.

Wanted to know how you took off the plastic top off so l can get the boat open like you have in the video. Also l took off all 9 screws out of the plastic bottom…?

Are the hull halves glued? I removed the screws but unable to separate

It’s lightly glued.. make sure also that hardware in rear is not attached still. When re installing glue is not needed but make sure the two halves mate correctly before tightening screws.

Nice project. The only problem is the epoxy for motor mount. I saw many broken for the choppy water.

@@gen1power102 awesome thanks so much. My buddy just kicked my ass with a TFL pursuit, so I definitely need more power. Was toying with just running 4s, but this definitely looks like an option. Dying to see it run. Didn't catch if you plan on still running the stock esc.

If upgrade to 4.76 shaft, the stainless tube will fit the hole? Or it needs modification

Yes it will fit but you don’t need a shaft that big. A 4mm shaft will work fine. Whichever size you choose you will still need to change the white Teflon tube inside of stainless tube.

This boat works best if you leave everything in the stock position. 👍🏼

Отвалится. Эпоксидный клей к такому пластику очень плохо крепится.
