The binaural aspect makes this sound very mix-ready.

Excuse me, what does binaural stands for on a synth? Thought it was something for like meditation
@tristanwh94662 жыл бұрын
@@lauroestrada2393 Binaural usually means a difference in sound between two ears. In this case it means that the individual oscillators and modulations can be panned left or right which is different from most other synths which play the same thing in both ears.

A cool synth store by our house allows you to buy a synth and then return it for a full refund within 30 days for any reason. Thx Long & McQuade in Toronto! Take that Online Retailers with No Store - and while many have a return policy, it's a F&(*& hassle. I bought a Polybrute. Returned it. Not as nice sounding as the classics it tries to emulate. Beautifully built, and love the Mod Matrix. Bought a Prophet 10. Returned it. Didn't sound as good as the Vintage Prophet 5 Rev 2 when I A/B'd them. But, beautifully built, and does sound great. Bought a Hydrasynth. Great Synth. Innovative. Sound Designers Dream. Sounds really nice. Could be better, but does sound really, really nice. Keyboard feels a bit cheap, but love the Poly AT. Kept it. The UDO Super 6 is the Best New Synth I think I've ever played. It truly sounds Amazing!!! I've played a lot of classics, and the UDO Super 6 is the only one I think I've played that can compete sonically with the MemMoog, Synthex, Prophet VS, etc. Yes, I know all of these synths are different, have their own thing, blah blah blah. No One Synth does it All, or shines in every situation. All I'm saying is that synths do have a sonic quality to them, and that's what I'm referring to when I say that the Super 6 really does sound Organic and Rich in a way other synths fail to achieve. These are just my opinions, but I did spend quite a bit of time with synths I've mentioned, and this was the impression I was left with. Needless to say, I happily kept the Super 6.

What I've found is with the controls not being laid out in a 'traditional' sense you end up going down different rabbit holes - and then you come up smiling. My wife, who is a pro musician and easily the better player of the two of us (annoyingly), plays one of these and rates it as one of the best she has played. Personally, it would be hard to choose between a Summit and this as they are so different and both excellent.
@pcuimac3 жыл бұрын
The Summit is a "does it all" workhorse. UDO S6 is more like an istrument for special occasions.

Great playing ! But I am unconvinced about this synth other than a "specialist unit" ..... I really can see its beauty in some of the ambient stuff its doing like at 5:30 but it seems like you need all the FX at full to get a result. Will it cut through the mix ? I just dont know. So many choices these days and I want these boutique synths around because that gives us options for those who love hardware (twisty knobby slidey slider types ! !)
@b.h.gargantua3013 жыл бұрын
Short answer; this is a modern musical instrument and sounds f*ng amazing. In a mix you don't need a bunch of other things beside S6!

I always wanted a Jupiter 8, and actually owned a Juno 106 back in the 80’s and everything about this synth makes me happy, but unfortunately I am not likely to spend that kind of money on hardware ever again (I have a studio full of vintage stuff I hardly touch). Still it’s nice to know that something like this exists for when I inherit a fortune from a distant relative. 😀 It is exactly what I badly want. Hmmm, wonder if I can sell of some of the vintage crap I am less attached to. 😉

One octave too little,but tSome sounds are great.
@gergokovacs33323 жыл бұрын
The funny thing that all master keyboard and synths which has 5 octave are going from C to C, which is a wrong concept, and not practical at all. Should be from F to F / G, just like on the harpsichord. The Vintage Vibe Vibanet is a nice exception, such as the original Hohner Clavinet.
