Here i'am wondering how these super cheap prices are sustainable over longer periods of time espeacially considering the serving sizes. I mean good for the customer but still, we had these cheap meals for a long time here in germany too (regular restaurants and fast food joints) and it really broke a lot of necks after some time. Are the ingridient prices and overall business expenses that low in japan ? Honestly curious

Perhaps it’s the volume that they serve keeps the price stable. The ingredients and sources would probably remain the same if they were local. The only wildcard that can change it is probably the cost of energy/power and/or economic inflation.
