They just came out with a new speaker. It is called the BB-X50. Would love to see that review and how it compares. I've tried to keep up and it seems the CEO was working some sort of business partnership with Aiww Japan. It would be nice to hear if they have kept the quality standard.

@@tikikyle I use Oluv's EQ with mine. Increasing lower bass by 2 notches really helps it pound in Hip Hop tracks. Sounds really balanced with most music I have. I take it to work, and my coworkers love it. Really hope Z&J release that custom bag again...

Other than increasing the lower bass by 2 notches are there any other levels I should increase? I’ve been using the preset hip hop eq which has more of a V curve to it. It would be really cool if they released that!! Also been hoping for aiwa to come out with an updated version, but haven’t been able to find any rumors or anything regarding an update.

As great sounding as Aiwa appears to be . They've haven't made any effort in making there Bluetooth speakers more conducive to the every day user - party speakers are a dime a dozen. But it takes panache to ad sophistication to your products . I've seen real potential in other brands . Amazons echo studio - much more affordable than most for what you get . Another one I recently looked at was Axiom Air Force ( n3) Bluetooth Speaker . Well Rounded , clean amp , high quality drivers , looks and plays the part . KEF and Naim audio is top notch . Mu-so-QB 2nd Generation.

I’d agree the Aiwa lacks sophistication; however, it is certainly a few cuts above the party speaker class. In its price range, I would argue it’s still a compelling option for those who want impressive sound/fidelity powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery is key as it separates this from the hifi plug-in class of speakers. Options like the Axiom Air Force and even the B&W Zepplin are more powerful and articulate, but equipping the Axiom with a comparative battery pushes the price point to near $1,000. Just my 2 cents, but I’d definitely rather cut down of sophistication and features while prioritizing audio for a competitively priced system!

Well, i totally disagree with you.....i got both and the aiwa is by far much better sound. Better!! I got two exos 9 that i use for home parties all the time...5 years listening to these beasts and at full volume, no distortion at all. Maybe is the cell phone...I use one plus phones with excellent 7 or 10 band equalizer, but also tried iphones on it and the sound is mich worse with iphones. Dont know why. Finally. The main reason why the aiwa has no distorsion in my view its because it is bi-amp. The UE Hyperboom is too expensive for the sound you get.

@@bradhuskers haha, don't worry for my education....it seems you have a deep thing between you and the aiwa. Get over it!! It shouldn't affect you that much....In regards of the boombox 3, I like JBL a lot. Got an xtreme 3 and as the aiwa is now out of the market, I always recommend the boombox 2 to all my friends at that budget level.....

@@claudiomenegoz1044 Think about how great the boombox 3 will be with the addition of a true sub. Now. The responsibility of the drivers will only be for midrange. This provides a much better detailed sound overall. Cannot wait.
