Fabregas makes a good point about Barcelona's academy. You're either a Xavi or a Riqui Puig.

What he said like as a middlefielder i had the obsession to always play the ball forward etc etc definitely automatically proves the level of his knowledge as a player 💯💯💯 Other former players say always the same thing like position, movement etc etc but he was direct direct

Even though I'm a Madrid fan through and through .. I care about the National team even more ... And I honor Fabregas so much.. we would not have won any of our big 3 major titles in a row without him ... Class person and player..

Cesc needs more air time man. a breath of fresh air as a pundit. not sugarcoating nothing, tells you how it is and isnt afraid to challenge opinions.

Cesc’s ball knowledge is ridiculous. He will make a very good coach. Not surprised though as he was miles ahead of his time in England

One of the most insightful interviews with a footballer I’ve seen. You’re hearing more and more from creative former footballers like figo and cesc talking about the roboticism of today’s players, and I really think cesc is spot on when he talks about coaching young players on awareness and utilising their teammates best attributes. Most young players I see, professional or not, think they’re great just because they have supreme speed or physicality or dribbling ability, without realising players like xavi and Busquets had none of those and are still regarded as the greatest of their time.

Cesc is the smartest footballer. I enjoyed listening to him so much and we need more of him!!!
@sinba.28 күн бұрын
He's quite right that football now has a lot less flair and a lot more robotic patterns.

Amazings mastercourse By Cesc Fabregas. I feel lucky as spanish we had such smart players like him.
@nxt199028 күн бұрын
6:40 Phil Foden, this message is for you. Foden is an unbelievable player and still only 23 so he still has 10 years ahead of him, but he MUST show character and ego with that level of talent. Fabregas is 100% right. If the players aren't almost forced to play the ball to you, it's because the natural hierarchy in the dressing room, doesn't consider you the main man. It's up to the player to demand this respect. I have a good feeling we'll start to see this as he matures. We still haven't seen the best of Foden. Plenty more to come.
@mcorriette128 күн бұрын
That is true but the issue is the structure and the messages from the managers. He isn’t given the freedom to do that in an England shirt. I understand he could just go and demand the ball but we know Southgate would just sub him off for not being a robot

@@mcorriette1 dont make a fool for yourself, Cesc said everybody in the midfield outside Xavi, Xabi, or Marcos Senna playing out of their favorite position (Silva, Mata, Iniesta, Cesc, etc) but because they know, trust each others and themselves it worked wonderfully in Euro and WC. Foden, Saka, Jude, and Kane need to trust and need each other no matter how rigid Gareth tactical instructions are. Capello said that as well about England mentality.
@Gehinomlezvuvim27 күн бұрын
@@bimapriambada1098To be honest iniesta initially in Barcelona was a LW... So definitely he knew the position. However Cesc ofc he s right: if someone s good he can perform. And it s not a huge huge difference between number 10 n winger... It s not he put foden as a RB...

Bit disappointed with this instalment. All the other episodes focus on reliving the memories and experience of the players/guests, but a lot of this episode is focused on England rhetoric. Fabregas is so insightful and intelligent, it would've been great to hear more about his experiences of the euros and his earlier career
@Al-ji4gd28 күн бұрын
That's because Fabregas, like Henry, is a brown-noser for England because he played in the Prem. They're all like that, that's why I can't take them seriously. All they do is glaze England and English teams.
@Mrlovepeaceandjoy28 күн бұрын
Tbh Ferdinand and Kemp should've managed the interview better and asked better questions. Would've been good to ask Fàbregas questions that don't actually involve England

Ahh glad I called this tournament 😉 called Germany being my favorite and called England under performing due to poor management. Portugal is definitely in the conversation as well. They’re stacked with quality top to bottom and Roberto Martinez is an extremely intelligent manager. Now the next deciding factor will be the route to the final.

Hello Rio, You can hype Messi in a EURO tournament platform all you want; but if it all ends without you interviewing Matthias Sammer, you'll have failed. Nobody played at the highest level at the EUROS as that man. I don't care what anyone here thinks! PS: When you get Sammer, make sure the Kemp kid stays away.
