Nowadays , all we see are destroyers in that positions and if they do great we call them world class immediately .. hardly you would see nowadays a CM/CDM who could dribble , drive forward, terrific with his passes, masters at winning headers and also do destorying job perfectly. Partly the usual English media overrating of their stars which makes people respond by underrating the player, and partly the fact that he seemed like a bit of a mercenary douchebag which also has a tendency to make people reluctant to admit how good a player is. I speak from experience, because I underrated him for these two reasons, but I can't name a better English left back in my time of watching football.
@Agent.K.2 жыл бұрын
What?? He’s literally in every PL best team of all time.
@korganrocks39952 жыл бұрын
@@Agent.K. Yeah, because he was the best pure left-back, but I think Ravi means that he's rated too low compared to stars in other positions. Fullback is the most underrated position, and it's harder for people who didn't watch a player every week to fully grasp their greatness when the compilation videos of their goals and assists is a lot shorter than that of a striker or midfielder. I mean, there were a couple of seasons where after every United game my brother and I would say "so, who besides Evra was man of the match?", but if you searched for evidence of that consistent high level of performance now you'd basically have to find videos of entire games from the mid-2000's and watch them.

@@anthonymcken6050 Do yourself a favor and go watch a compilation of all of Haaland's goals if you think he's just a tap in merchant. First of all, he's huge AND lighting quick, so already your opinion is objectively wrong, since he's also a tank and a speed merchant. The main qualities for a pure striker are speed, size, movement, accuracy and technique, and that last one is the only area where he's lacking, and even then he routinely scores goals like the one against Dortmund last week that are pretty damn technically impressive. No one's claiming he's got Henry's touch, but he's a freakishly talented young player who may continue to improve for years to come. I'm Swedish AND a Manchester United fan, so if even I can admit that a Norwegian City player is way more than a tap-in merchant, what's your excuse? :P
