Urban Extension Road-II (UER 2) or NH-344M is an upcoming 75.7 km long,
6 lanes (main expressway) & 6 lanes (service roads) wide grade separated expressway in Delhi NCR,
Starts from NH 44 at Alipur then passes from Rohini, Mundka, Najafgarh, Dwarka and end at Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on NH48 near Mahipalpur.
Semicircle on the western side of Delhi, it has two side spurs -
one from Bawana in Northwest Delhi to Sonipat in Bawana's North
second in west Delhi from between Tikri border & Najafgarh to NH9 Bahadurgarh south bypass.
The access-controlled UER-II expressway project phase 1 & 2 have a main 74.98 km long 6-lane in Delhi
The project also features two 4 lane spurs
NH-344P to Bahadurgarh Bypass
NH-344P to Barwasni Bypass
two additional spurs - the 29.6 km long 4-lane Bawana-Sonipat spur in northwest
second 7.3 km long 6-lane Najafgarh-Bahadurgarh spur in west. UER-II is an at grade expressway with elevated flyovers at intersections.[3]
UER Phase 2
Phase 2 of UER 2 will be taken up by the Delhi Government.
It includes includes constructing the Rangpuri Bypass to Vasant Kunj,
upgrading Nelson Mandela Marg till Andheria Mor,
building an interchange at Andheria Mor and Anuvrat Marg-Mehrauli-Badarpur Road intersection of NH-236,
and widening of Mehrauli Badarpur Road.
It also includes building an elevated corridor at critical locations along NH-2.
