Isn't the more comparable match up Hatsumi Soke and Ueshiba O'Sensei given amount of ongoing training and teaching with broad variety of students into older age.

Interesting video. t hanks for posting. However, to suggest one would beat the other is pure speculation and impossible to know. If the stories of Takamatsu are true, i'd give him the edge in their younger days. i agree that Ueshiba moved much better as an older man.

I think both men would innately know the futility of it all and live another day because of it.

In martial art some things remain hidden by design to hold teachings, history secret & close to an inner circle. Ninpo didn't open itself to the world until Hatsumi The 34th sokai,...it has been rumored that Ueshiba & takamatsu had the same teachers but then when Takamatsu was chosen to succeed as grandmaster all training for other students ceased, & that some of those teachers stopped training out of respect for that transition,...it might be that Ueshiba did so as well, that doesn't mean that Ueshiba didn't teach other techniques to some students, it was just done so discreetly & out of the public domain. if you examine some of Steven Seagal's techniques they resemble Ninpo in many ways, some of his striking & throwing are all Ninpo,..in fact many Aikido practitioners on youtube exclaim that they've never been taught Sagal's techniques & wonder as to their there origen. Truth is, as you mentioned, later in life Ueshiba focused on specific portions of a much, much larger martial lineage, & those students that went on to form their own schools pushed what they learned from those years. In fact, Aikido is also a sword art, there are entire techniques that pertain to the use of the sword,...most practitioners have not recognized this or even know of it. It's almost as if it's unspoken of, but if you train the sword, the staff & other weapons you can see it. There are videos on youtube using the sword,...you can see the influence. A true martial artist learns it all, ground fighting, sword, staff, bow etc. Every techniques has its application in the fleeting moment, applying them in that moment is what we all aspire to.

Ueshiba would defeat Takamatsu? No way! A draw would be a more likely result. Both men were highly skilled.

I would have to disagree that Ueshiba would have prevailed in combat based on the ideologies of their respective arts. Of course my opinion is highly biased, and no one will ever know.
@itneeds2bsaid528
@itneeds2bsaid528 7 жыл бұрын
By that thinking though, Ueshiba would prevail. Ninjutsu's ideology is to kill. Ueshiba's is to survive, and would win by simply not allowing Takamatsu to hurt him. Honestly, ideology vs ideology, Ueshiba could fulfill his goal and deny Takamatsu's, by simply not showing up. This is an idea being lost as the goal of martial arts becomes one on one sport, instead of freedom and survival.

You definitly don´t know the true philosophy of Ninpo. Ninpo is not about killing, it´s about nature and survival

Lmao...Chris you are a fool among the masses of fools...:) Ninjutsu is not martial arts it is a way of combat to battle against any evils that come your way using stealth and very little effort to destroy your assailants and enemies.

Don't believe the fairy tales of Takamatsu fighting to the death bs. Hatsumi sensei even had said the stories were myths. The martial arts if full of ego, chest besting and ultimately trying to sell a product.

Aikido is the win element ; Taijutsu also have the win element being a receiving attitude called hira no kamae . Aikido is excellent for defensive minded people.
@asarurereee8881
@asarurereee8881 6 жыл бұрын
Aikido is nice yet I noticed that it's disadvantage is depending on the opponents energy used against the opponent . The ninja(ninga) of Taijutsu is psychological in fighting ; that can be seen in Taijutsu water defensive attitude of ichimonji no kamae. A Taijutsu ninja can throw a punch and notice the Aikido opponent spinning around that punch(power of the right hemisphere of the brain) to the outside of that punch the Taijutsu ninja can use a hip thrust to interrupt the spin or catch the Aikido opponent at the stop point before the Aikido opponent execute a technique after the spin.
