I don't think fans (or fans with quotes around it) need to blame him or feel butt hurt about anything. It's simply the matter of Dana giving fighters title shots who haven't had ONE fight in the division that the title is for (i.e. Conor & T.J.), and also going back on his word repeatedly. If Dana says something, there is probably a greater than 50% chance that he'll contradict himself at some point. That's just his documented history. It's not butt-hurt... it's having a shitty reputation (which is largely earned by his actions).

Andy Kelly In the last 2 year I can only remember 3 interim belts: Aldo, Holloway and now Whittaker. Most of that was because McGregor holding up the featherweights. People need to think about it, it's just a guaranteed no.1 contender with extra pay for the fighter... don't see the big issue.

Well, I mean they don't get paid, if you worked for 8 weeks without getting paid but told if you turned up for 1 more day they'd back pay you for the prior 8 weeks of work you'd turn up to work. The incentives there, but you can't force someone to fight.

For the haters pissed at Dana White saying it like it is or apparently "throwing the champ under a bus" you gotta be a real idiot to not know they spend millions of dollars in promotions for this fight and for a champion who's headlining the fight to be medically/physically cleared but just "not feeling right" it's a huge loss for business. And when you are medically/physically cleared it means you will not die in the octagon because of anything before the fight, so it is all mental. And you're forgetting this is a business and that's why she didn't get paid anything like she deserves. Usually when fighters pull out day of the fight after weigh in's it is highly likely because of a bad weight cut, how do fighters have bad weight cuts? bad discipline, and bad dietitian which at this day n age there aren't many excuses for it but to blame yourself for. I hope DW continues these post fight pressers because love him or hate him mma would be nothing without him.

What do you think about scheduling the Nunes/Shevchenko fight for UFC 214 just after the Maia/Woodley fight and before the Jones/Cormier fight? I truly believe this would be best for the sport and both fighters. This gives Nunes enough time to recover from whatever illness the doctors couldn't detect with their tests, and also prevents Nunes from getting another 3 months or more to train and prepare for Valentina if that was the angle she was attempting to take. It's fair to both fighters and allows them to simply continue on with the current training camp rather than start it all over again down the road. This would simply give each fighter roughly 4 months to train for each other rather than two different 3 month camps which would eat at resources, time and potentially their bodies. Not to mention it would put UFC 214 right over the top in sales and may just make it the biggest selling UFC event of all time.
