tj is a very underrated fighter. what won him the fight was that he had so many tools in his skill set. tj can throw devastating fast kicks, strike with his hands, and wrestle if he wants. cody can only throw hands, wrestle, and throw measly kicks that are only done to keep distance. cody has very superior boxing, but diversity in skill set has proven to be the dominating factor in this fight.

To be honest, I've never really been impressed with Cody's boxing technique. It's kind of sloppy, he's really fast, has explosive power and good footwork, but his boxing, technique wise, isn't great, in my opinion. I honestly feel TJ's technique is a bit cleaner, he's just not as explosive.

He was smaller than Barao, Cruz, Asuncao who used to fight at 145, and smaller than Cody. In the last 3 years he has only been bigger than fighter, Lineker. TJ has fought 5 of the guys ranked top 10 at bantamweight, He's only bigger than 2 fighters in the top 10, Dodson and Lineker and they used to fight at 125. Him going down to 125 isn't ridiculous.
