In UFC232, i have seen enough sportsmanship and mutual respect between fighters regardless of who won than any other full contact sports. Cyborg and Alex are two great human beings. I hope Dana paid them very well with no discrepancy as in the Mcgregor/Habib fight. Alex, you are my man. You lost twice to Jon just like DC but you did not weep or make excuses instead took it like a real MAN.

I have nothing but respect for anyone who trains 6 days a week and have the stones to step in the cage and lose. Out of 100 guys who may step in a gym maybe one of them will go on to compete in a promotion such as bellator or ufc and should deserve the upmost respect. I have met guys in the gym such as Ben Saunders and Glover Teixeira and it amazes me how much they are committed to training. As for this fight jones or Alex would have really hurt one or the other too win because out of all opponents for jones Alex has been his biggest threat to date. Even jones admits that

Leg kicks and distance, Jones landed about 15 leg kicks and Gus started limping after the 11th or 12th. Groin shot didn't do much, Gus was still moving fine afterwards. He probably did injure it but adrenaline kept him going.

You cant outbox anyone if you cant move. Jones was attacking Gus legs the entire time. The 3 kicks at the end of round 2 won Jones the fight, Gus could barely walk after that. Stayed out of boxing range and landed about 15 leg kicks before taking down Gus. I just watched the fight again and I cant see where Gus injured his groin, cause he was moving fine after the illegal knee. Maybe pulled it at the end of round 2 after one of the kicks to try and counterbalance. But either way, he should have rushed Jones when Jones was backpedaling and close to the fence. Those were his opportunities and he missed them. Too bad.
