@@coolina21 no that’s not how that works. There is a reason Al iaquinta wouldn’t have been champion even if he won against khabib. Even if Dana says Al would’ve been the champ, the commission flat out tells them he will not be officially recorded as the champion. The commission regulates who is and isn’t eligible for the belt. UFC can’t even put on a fight without the commissions approval. They can give charles the benefits of a champion like ppv points and such, but they cannot officially declare him UFC champ without commission approval

Man so glad to see Charles come full circle and get his shine after all these years. To get the respect he seemingly always deserved. Even those earlier fights at FW when he was young were stunners… you could just tell the talent was natural and the Bjj flows.. great journey. It is cool to see also how this interpreter appears to have become his interpreter of choice of late for cards. You can see in older videos their relationship is simply business related he’s just translating but you can see now he smiles and talks to him and even embraced him in the octagon after the win.
