I feel like Ige pulls off a win. He's super durable and very consistent. I worry about the reach and height issue but I think Ige will be able to close the distance. Murphy is good but I think he fought a really out of his prime Barboza with a very good style matchup and won.

The problem with these kinds of breakdowns is you’re missing one important thing: the home arena advantage. For Soviet and Muslim fighters, that’s like having an extra cornerman! The crowd support can change everything. Take Renat Fakhretdinov, for example-he won 30-27 on the scorecards, but if you actually watched the fight, you'd swear he lost! 😂 Judges really do love their homeboys!

I just think Khamzat is a better overall grappler than anyone in MW has ever seen. I don't think Rob can survive the 10-8 round that Usman survived. This is just based on my theory that the skill-drop from an increase in division is the highest from 170 to 185. Jacare and Romero were so not the mma grappler Khamzat is. This is the same division where Izzy was untested in the sub defense department, and when tested, he made some obvious mistakes in defending an RnC.

I can't trust khamzat's gas tank but I don't see him being finished by Rob and if they go to the decision I feel like khamzat could still win, at worst case a split decision. khanzats grappling is not like anything we've seen in the sport, i don't think Robert is winning this fight. idk how or but if I'd bet my house on khamzat

I agree that the odds are extreme for Ankalaev vs. Rakic, but I think Ankalaev is legit and the 2nd best fighter in the division. Jan Blachowicz gave Alex one of his toughest fights. The illegal knee doesn't show anything about his skill level. Idk, I don't think Ankalaev is overrated and he should've fought for the title over Khalil.

I hear what you’re saying and is reasonable, unlike a lot of what I hear online regarding Ankalaev. The illegal knee doesn’t speak to his skill level but iq perhaps. Also it was just to point out he shoulda been dqd. His win that got him into the top five was over Thiago santos on a bad skid. He’s not fought any of the guys at the top of that division until this fight on Saturday. I just think the calls for this title shot are overstated.

Magomed hasn’t had a top 5 win in over 2 years and when he did, it was washed and injured Santos and Anthony Smith. His best wins are Krylov, Oozedemir and Santos all decisions and Santos dropped him twice. Yeah Jan’s a beast and gave Poatan a tough fight but was 3 months after Poatan got KO’d cold 1st time in his 48 fight career, wasn’t adapted to his LHW frame yet and had an injured knee. Can’t doubt Rakic in this fight if his durability holds up and his iq stays on point, he’s big with his power, kicks, etc💯

Who has max fought that hits hard as fuck at featherweight... Not at lightweight.. Who has the timing, precision and punching power of ilia that max has ever fought before.. I would say Ilia hits harder than Dustin and Justin, and those were both at lightweight btw.
