I'm struggling with the Marcus McGhee pick. He has faced some fairly weak competition. His only loss was to a fighter with a record of 6-1, and he got finished in the first round. Most of the opponents he has faced have had nearly 50/50 records. In contrast, when I look at Jonathan Martinez's past opponents, the difference in the strength of their schedules is night and day. Also, I went back and watched his fight against Aldo, and he actually didn't look as bad as I initially thought when I watched it live.

I think if you’re basing this fight just off strength of schedule, yeah McGhee hasn’t fought the best but Martinez rarely gets finishes. Martinez relies on getting a TKO or DEC, where as McGhee is a seasoned finisher. McGhee is a very smart fighter who utilizes his power and don’t just throw his power shots. Martinez is gonna have to play tit for tat on the outside for 15 minutes to win.

I’m gonna have to disagree with you Brady, I think Chandler will be ready here. I know the path to victory is clear, Charles needs to get the sub or throw the better KO shots. But I think chandler comes back determined with a smart game plan. He lost the last fight off of mistakes, so I would imagine the number one thought he has is fight smart and limit mistakes. If chandler is smart here and doesn’t explode too much early I think he can wear on Charles and cancel out Charles grappling and Charles striking is probably going to be crisp after preparing for mcgregor for so long.
