Dricus du Plessis (born 14 January 1994), also known by his initials DDP, is a South African professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is the current UFC Middleweight Champion and the first South African to win a UFC championship. As of 17 September 2024, he is #6 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings. Outside of the UFC, du Plessis is also the former Welterweight and Middleweight Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) Champion, and the former Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW) Welterweight Champion.
Sean Strickland (born February 27, 1991) is an American professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is the former UFC Middleweight Champion. A professional competitor since 2008, he is a former middleweight champion of the King of the Cage. As of January 23, 2024, he is #1 in the UFC middleweight rankings, and as of September 17, 2024, he is #14 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.

What's the point of Sean fighting a Navy Seal? Seems to be a waste of time and basic bullying to me.... Navy Seals obviously use weapons and although they go through hardcore training, they don't train to beat a UFC top contender who has spent years only focusing specifically on martial arts. Same thing with Sneako as well as sparring partners, with Sean going way too far taking joy out of bashing them when they are done and it's time to switch to a new guy etc. Sean seems to enjoy abusing his place of authority to hurt good people, bullying people, it really seems that way and he gets off on it, you always hear him talking the most when he's bullying someone who is easy for him. I get that Sean has issues, but seriously.... Smashing people bloody for no good reason, he personally learns nothing from this, he only gains sadistic pleasure.... Its so sad. You will never see our man Dricus doing this, never ever in a million years. Difference between Lions and men.

Sean being the guy that beats everyone in the gym is not a good thing for his development at all. He sparr with guys that are his bunching bag and then he gets a big ego that he's a dog and then goes to an actual fight and we don't see the dog. He needs to get better sparring partners, get guy's that will challenge him and whoop his ass in the gym so that he can level up in the octagon.

This fight is going to be a war. It's a 5 round fight but these are rounds 6-10. The first fight both men believed they were the better fighter that's why it was so close. This fight they know who is the better fighter and that's gonna be clear within the first round. I'm not gonna make any definitive predictions but Sean struggles when he can't out-man the other fighter. He relies almost entirely on his toughness mentally and physically. I favor the South African by a small but meaningful amount.
