You can't even though they put it in the moves list lmfao. Can only throw them from bottom full guard (L1+square) or top side same controls. If you figure it out tho please let me know hahaha I really wanna elbow people like in UFC 3

You can still throw elbows in side control by holding L1 while pressing square or triangle, but when you posture up you can no longer throw elbows.

@@jimmybones3283 I was going to buy it until I figured out there’s no elbows while posturing up. And in the previous EA UFC games you could still throw elbows while not being postured up. You could throw and land elbows from almost any position.

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s an option to throw elbows on the ground. EA likely removed them to prevent them from being spammed.

Why in fucks name would they do that? This seems to happen every time they release a new iteration of this game. They decide to remove some core fundamental element. It makes absolutely zero fucking sense. Is there not a single developer there who would have said “what the fuck has happened to elbows and hammer fists on the ground. In 2 years time when they release UFC 5 it’ll have no kicks on day 1. Why, why do you omit or remove critical components of the game and the sport every time you release the next one. It seems instead of saying “right, every thing we’ve got in UFC 3 stays and we simply add to it in the fourth instalment,” they say “right, let’s remove this this that and that in the next instalment and we might patch it back in” It’s absolutely fucking mind boggling. It would be like releasing the next FIFA and removing the ability to kick the ball. What in fucks name goes through these people’s heads with this shit

James Harris exactly. I think they removed it bc people were spamming them. So instead of trying to resolve it they just removed it. Idk if the devs are true fans of the sport. Bc imo it’s not a representation of the sport as it is now. I tried to play as Anderson and duck and dodge etc and pick my spots like he does vs the cpu. And what happens my stamina drained quicker than the cpu who was throwing bombs at me. Smh

sirjam34 well people almost certainly spam punches in the stand up but fuck it, remove them as well? It’s beyond puzzling as to why they do this kind of thing with every single instalment of this franchise. Remove something that was in the last one, wait for the complaints to roll in and then patch it back in. If their solution to a problem is to ignore finding a solution to the problem and just remove the thing that’s creating the problem then that is just sheer fucking laziness. People will spam takedowns when using Khabib, so do they remove takedowns, remove Khabib or remove both? People will spam leg kicks when using Jose Aldo so do they remove leg kicks, remove Aldo or remove both?
