Can always depend on 138 to talk sense on WMMA: I'm hearing a surprising amount of talk on Ernie v Nicolle as if it's a striker v grappler match 🤨 Ernie's built like a pencil, I don't think her range is going to stop Nicolle from charging in. Gonna rewatch tapes cause you know much better than I, but I felt like Ernie makes a lot of mistakes in the grappling…

You’re not wrong about Ernesta making mistakes on the mat. The thing that’s throwing me off is that people think because Caliari won by sub on DWCS that she’s a grappler. She’s a Muay Thai style striker first and a grappler second. She can grappler but she had success on DWCS in grappling because she had an opponent who was willing to grapple and in fact wanted the fight there. If Ernesta wants to strike, I imagine we see a majority striking contest.

@@138MMA Yes, thank you! Been doubting myself that maybe I read Nicolle's striking wrong. Let's see how her IQ plays out, I think she could still win a striking contest, but she really should go for the TDs here.

@@138MMA That's her path to a decision victory (even in a loss too), but Nicolle has the finish equity and judges scoring the more impacting shots. I added another half unit after weigh-ins.
