That San Antonio joke was one of the best running gags in TV history. It would come out of nowhere cause the crew would tape past 1am sometimes. Chuck and the crew are sleep deprived so he would crack jokes cause of the time in the day and to kinda get the blood going. When Shaq's sister passed away the whole crew on set was truly felt somber for the big guy. We the viewers felt it. The loss was palpable. When Shaq came back on air, the crew shared their condolences and the emotions were very real. The first thing Shaq says after the crew discuss the loss and I'm paraphrasing " When I at home I was a little upset watching you guys cause Chuck couldn't say what would make me feel better." With out missing a beat Chuck says "oh, those big ol' women in San Antonio?" Thats probably the first time Shaq laughed in two weeks.
