i think its very close. I think the strikers chance gives topuria a very decent chance, and his good wrestling can buy him the time he needs to actually get the lucky shot. We have seen islam get koed before, long time ago, yes, but topuria is a monster. If anyone can knock him out, is him, and islam is koeable. The equalizer, beyond islams obvious monstrous wrestling and decent striking, is his team. You can bet your ass they are going to study topuria to the t and design a strategy specially cooked for him. Its going to be very interesting seeing how they will focus this challenge. For gaethje i remmeber khabib chose a choke that is usally not seen in american wrestling and specifically left him unhurt becaue gaethjes mom was in the crowd. Anything can happen, thats honestly the fight to make if you want to find the current goat. My personal bet: I think islam. Not to take anything from topurias discipline and talent, but if you check his philosophy, if you see his interviews, is the definition of survivors bias. He talks about poverty and his georgian roots but grew up in spain, and then talks about destiny and visualization, like some cheap self help guru. Islam is much more humble and therefore, one would think more carefull when facing a monster. He has the wisdom of his team on his side, and you really should not underestimate aka. They are essentially a champion factory.
