When Rampage came to the UFC and beat 'the Beastman' Eastman, the Iceman Liddell, and Dan Henderson...WOW! he was unquestionably in his prime. I saw him in vegas against Forrest and it looked like he had a leg brace but regardless he came back and KO'd Wanderlei! He's a legend and should retire IMO.

True. I hope that this is just another argument between rampage and ufc and hopefully ufc offers him a better deal. I'm pretty sure they'll talk about negociations at least once after rampage fights this saturday. Remember Rampage said that he was done with fighting a few years ago and nothing happened out of that.

Rampage talked about why he dont like the UFC currently. He a fighter, he like to go and fight. Currently, the UFC dismissing a lot of fighters that lose just a couple fights in a row. So they come with Crazy game plans to secure victory, example being Chael Sonnen. Guy comes to just hold you down for 3 rounds. Thats it. Thats boring. You can do that for like 20 rounds. Either way, if he unhappy he shouldent stay. There are other places where he can thrive

No that is not the only reason why he left. There is not even a solitary reason why Rampage left. There were multiple reasons, one of them being the mistreatment of him and other fighters. Rampage knew that there were no fighters union & that the entry level fighters would not speak up. So he used his departure to speak on both his and the other fighters situation. He shed light on a subject that has been floating on the surface of many peoples minds. Its only now that we have confirmation.

In other words, there is a larger gap between Millionare to Billionaire than their is between us and Millionaires...and simple math will prove this point immediately... You wasn't watching the video. Rampage problem wasn't about the money but for the respect or in other words the way he is being treated. You don't know what is going around closed curtains so how can you argue with him otherwise? The only point in which Rampage brought money was with the other fighters in which they do get basically no money for the things they go through which is absolutely true for over 90% of UFC's fighters.

There are multiple interviews in which he talks about other atlhletes and the UFC mistreating them and the unfair and bias treatment from Dana and the UFC exec's... So its' not only suddenly now he remembered to mention the other Athletes...

I see what's your're saying and part of me agrrees, but the way I saw it before his last fight, is that he was fighting to stay relevant in the sport, obviously not in the UFC anymore but if he wanted to continue his career anywhere else, a big win would've been the way for him to go out, but now that he's lost 3 in a row, I really don't see bellator having that much interest in him anymore as he looks to just be declinning with every fight.

Both are similar strategies. They both mimic the same business strategy that Vince McMahon used in wrestling. They at 1st "..put together an incredible strategy towards an investment that payed off.." but as they started to increase their market share the edged out other fight leagues & took them over (WEC, Strikeforce etc). No one has asked what boxers make in the under cards b/c no one making money has spoken out sheding light to the situation. Also, who said anything about them being greedy?

No the UFC, Zuffa etc do not make it policy to mistreat fighters. But the misconception that they have their fighters 1st in their minds is bogus. As you said it they're 1st thinking about revenue; & when you have a monopoly & are only out for revenue, that is a recipe that breeds mistreatment & mishandling of their products i.e. their fighters. They know the fighters have few options outside the UFC & they take advantage of that. This is what Rampage was speaking of in his many interviews.

Lets take the UFC Sponsorship Restrictions Rampage spoke about... Ok, so Rampage was told by UFC brass that he could not wear Reebok apparel into the Octagon... Now, the UFC does allow many fighters to wear their sponsors attire...but you are asked to pay $100k upfront fee to the UFC... And Reebok did NOT go through the same sponsorship fee required by all the other sponsors who wish to have their brand represented inside the UFC! Simple enough!

Rampage leaving UFC is BAD an BAD. Its bad for him for a laundry list of reasons-and he'll no doubt regret it. And its bad for UFC because hes a beast, has a very likable personality, and transcends the sport like only a very small handfull of fighters. Danas an intelligent businessman-he'll bring him back if he keeps himself together-assuming he looks good vs Glover T.

That's true, but it wins fights. He's not a bad fighter by any means...To think that your basically saying GSP sucks as well, he does the same thing in many fights and hasn't finished one for years. I have no idea what he's truly worth to the UFC. Too many variables (real and speculative) to consider. If we're going strictly by the "Damn, I would pay to watch that fight!" factor, he's certainly worth much less since the Machida fight than he was when he came over. But he's got the right to overinflate his value to sell himself, if he wants. Can't milk the system if you don't try.

Yes, people generally don't get paid enough as they should. However, this isn't about anything outside the UFC and if you paid attention you would know it wasn't about Rampage. Rampage spoke about other fighters that don't get paid enough for what they do which is true. Rampage said that, for him, it's not about the money but the respect. But to counter your statement, normal companies don't have their employees beat the tar out of each other in front of millions of dumb and negative fans.
