It's because Nate and Conor shared comraderie throughout the interview. Conor was cracking up at the stuff Nate said, and I think regardless of being opponents, they had the common understanding that this interview was inherently ridiculous. Relative to the social situation, Conor essentially lost his teammate when Nate left.
@MambaAllDay6 жыл бұрын
i actually think Connor is just comfortable in the 'fight world' and is comfortable around 'fighters' and once Nate left, Connor was back in the 'real world' since the news anchor was about money. In a way, Connor simply felt more comfortable when nate was around similarly when you don't know anyone at a party except your one FRIEND but when he or she leaves you alone for a second to use the bathroom or something, you get uncomfortable. That was my impression.

Jack Bolton I'm pretty sure conor took that fight on short notice and jumped two weightclasses to fight nate and also won the rematch.. What's your point?
@wolv.89236 жыл бұрын
Gonna lay the facts out, do with this as you please. God knows you can't change the minds of people in a comment section. Conor has a roster full of fighters on his resume' including; Dustin Poirier, Chad Mendes, Eddie Alvarez, Jose Also, and a (non-prime 21 year old) Max Holloway. These are only his tier 1 fights. He's smoked through all of them, excluding Holloway due to a broken foot in the fight & still won via decision. When preparing for a fight against RDA, it was at lightweight (155lb) not featherweight (145lb). Until RDA pulled out, and the match was replaced with Nate Diaz who would have been sitting at a comfortable 185ish pounds. So Conor agreed to move up to welterweight (170lb) to give Nate a chance, despite only preparing for a 155lb fight. This was on two weeks notice, so Nate was able to take advantage of Conor being cocky after his win over Aldo. These are some of the few things I can name that he gave up; - Mental game had less effect, Conor had nothing to prove. - Nate had far more weight. - Less reach. - Fight occurred on short notice for both fighters, RDA is a completely different fight compared to Nate. - Nate is also a southpaw, which can throw off any boxer's style. - New weight class usually requires more conditioning which wasn't done on 2 weeks notice, especially considering he fought 25lb above his last bout. Not trying to excuse the loss, it was a fair fight and Nate walked away the better man. But it wasn't a match up Conor should have taken on short notice, and he handled the loss well enough to come back and fix his error in a rematch. People still consider GSP one of the GOAT's even after losing to Matt Serra & Hughes, because he came back and corrected his mistakes. Lets not forget that McGregor just turned 30. He still has an entire career ahead of him to become a GOAT. It's fun to hype fighters up, and when they deliver it becomes even more satisfying. None of you talk like you actually watch UFC fights, and that ruins it for the rest of us, so do us all favour and think before you speak.

Honestly Conor may be mocking Nate and messing with others who fight him, But he really is the reason so many fighters make millions, especially when they fight him. Man deserves nothing but respect. No matter what he says to people, he made more millionaires in that sport than any other fighter. No one even comes close. Respect the man
