Colby had no shot coming back in that fight. He was on the verge of bleeding out :) HE. GOT. WHOOPED. Buckley was playing with him and was dropping bombs. Colby was afraid of Buckley before the fight.

Sped Meshew when Shavkat beats wonderboy: "amazing, great win, huge win for shavkat, give him title shot" Sped when Buckley beats wonderboy in WBs next fight: "hes just a washed up 40 year old and it means nothing"
@Professor_Pink8 күн бұрын
Not exactly what he said. Also, Shavkat beat WB earlier and in a much more decisive way. WB was piiecing Buckley apart until he got caught. Shavkat dominated and finished WB in 5 minutes.

Maverick had a good fight, but as respectfully as we can be, she has that coach boyfriend/husband-itis…. It seems the fighters that are dating or married to their coaches have a learning wall. It just stops cause the lack of risk and proper training to feel comfortable to make those risks without worrying about your loved ones being hurt. Kind of understandable, but noticeable to me.

Most media or "analysts have double standards depending on who they believe is better or are bigger fans of. MMAFightin suffers from this a lot. If Ian (& not Buckley) had beat this Colby, he'd be getting a lot more credit instead of the narrative being more about Colby being old, past his prime & looking bad. They glazed Leon for his W over Colby, one fight ago, even though that version of Colby was way worse than the one that fought Buckley tonight & despite Colby having been injured (Colby may lie but Xrays & surgery don't). I'd give more credit to Buckley for his W over Colby than Leon bc tonight Colby had come to fight & Buckley damaged him. The double standard is also apparent in that nobody brings up Ian or Shavkat making their way up by beating older or post prime fighters like DRod, Magny, WB & MVP, yet it's now a thing bc it's Buckley, after he finished Luque, WB & Colby. Why? Bc they don't believe he's on the same level as Shavkat or Ian or they're just bigger fans of those guys than Buckley. In addition, why is Kape's KO of a 11-15 guy more title worthy than KKF's KO of a former title challenger who was top 5 at the time & still ranked higher than both Kape & Silva. It's no secret that they've been Kape stans since Rizin. Again, double standards based on fandom. Is it too much to ask for some measure of objectivity & neutrality in analysis. Tough thing to do i'm sure, bc we're all fans at the core, but do better boys.

No issue with these guys having their own opinions and preferences. Pretty much everything about the sport is subjective.

I think Dana being a child about Colby losing the way he did didnt help. Joaquin is 6-0 at Welterweight. Buckleys win is good considering he dominated Colby from the word go. He was up 2-0 on the cards when the fight was stopped. Who knows if Joaquin would have gotten a 10-8. Kape is desperate to get a title shot cause Pants needs fresh opponents. Doesnt matter if he rematched Pants. Do we want a 3rd fight with Royval and Pants.
