He got star power potential but in this fight what saved him was Dan ige bad fight IQ in the third round and the bad instruction he hot from his corner. Lopes was made tired at the end of round 3 and he was on the virge of breaking under dan ige's pressure and instead of keeping the fight on the feet and walking down lopes he decided to go on the groundand alow lopez to take a breather and survive. A 5 round fight could be very dangerous for lopes if he doesn't get the finished early.

On the other hand Lopes only had a 2 week training camp and had to cut down to 146. Ige had a longer training camp and didn't have to cut any weight, he had all the advantages in this fight.
