bet the wrestlers in the ufc salivate at the thought of a fight with Connor, Diaz/McGregor was meant to be..congrats to both,if Connors smart,he'll fight Eddie Alvarez, weather they strip his title or not, 145division is gonna look like a joke, considering Aldo and Holloway are at the top of that division and conor beat both of em, AlVAREZ/MCGREGOR that's what I want to see and MCGREGOR/DIAZ 3 for the lightweight title, fuck wrestlers fuck boring ass fights fuck khabib,make it happen.

That first round was not a 10-8 round. THE ONLY REASON WHY YOURE EVEN SAYING THAT IS BECAUSE CONOR SAID IT. You're just repeating what he says. That round was not a 10-8 round, yea he got dropped once in that round but he was swinging at McGregor and fighting back. Conor won that round, but not no 10-8 win. Dumb casual, just like most of Conor's fanboys

Doesn't it suck to have to rewatch and analyze the fight to validate his decision win? If he would've knocked him out in the 2nd round like he said he was going to then we wouldn't have to go back and forth about rounds, strikes, knockdowns and so on. All this statistic talk surrounding this fight makes me want to rewatch their first encounter just to make sure Nate won.

Never expected Conor to be this humble after the fight. I think it's for a good reason too. End of Round 5, I thought Conor was going to DIE. He just almost scraped his victory. After Conor's loss I really hoped that he would've learned from it and come back a smarter, better and maybe a little more down to earth fighter. His arrogance was badly getting to him before his loss. Seems like my hopes came true, Conor's learned and come back better than ever, he seems much realer and much calmer and looks like he has a lot of respect for his opponent this time round.

Michael shuffler Yeah I don't mean pre-fight arrogance and trash-talk. That's all to psyche out your opponent and gain more money from the fight. What I mean was how humble he seemed post-fight. He had a lot more respect for Nate Diaz than I've seen him have for the likes of Jose Aldo or Dustin Poirier. He seems much more down to earth.

Conor is a true champion. He really put his career on the line by fighting Diaz. After his first loss, he faced it like a man. I like to see a fighter that challenges themselves. He was tested big time in this second fight. He won. While it was close, I don't think you can really make a case Diaz won. I like how Conor is making him come down to 155 now for the last one. I think he will slap Diaz around in the last fight if its at 155.

He wasn't afraid of him the first time around, he beat him in just 13 seconds, so why would he be afraid of him now? Especially after this 170 challenge which has made Conor even stronger both physically and mentally, as well as in terms of skill. The only thing that he probably fears is the weight cut ahead of him. PS: The fight was not rigged. His victory is justifiable.

He criticised Aldo's performance against Edgar? No-one finishes Edgar. Conor couldn't have finished him. The fact is Aldo did a masterful job, against a phenomenal opponent. I thought Frankie was going to take him this time, but he had nothing for Aldo. Aldo beat Frankie more handedly, then he's ever been beat before and despite what Conor says, that definitely earned him a rematch.

Conor should have won 4-1 but its was a fair 3-2 Round 1- 1 Knockdown and Killed Nate - Conor with an easy round 10-8 or a close 10-9 Round 2- 2 Knockdowns but Nate came back to life with a min to go - Conor 10-9 Round 3- Nate hit conor like crazy but most shots were non power ( Stockton Slap ) but to the upper body - Easy 10-9 for Nate Round 4- Conor came back to life and Nate ate so many clean head shots IDK how he didn't go down - Conor 10-9 Round 5- Nate forced the clinch but failed 3-4 times to take Conor down. Conor did more damage and owned the clinch but wasn't the one pressuring which helped Nate to take Conor down with 10 seconds to go which is why I would say he got the round - Toss up 10-9 for Nate or Conor but I would say a fair 10-9 for Nate 3-2 Conor - Didn't even make 170 was at 167 on fight time and Nate was easily 180-185. Nate had to lose 5-10 pounds in 2 days before weigh in which is all water weight which can be re-gained in a day. So easy 175-180 for Friday night and 185 fight night(Saturday). Conor came in and used the leg kicks which is a big key factor for the second knockdown and was also the reason why Conor couldn't even walk leaving the cage. Best fight I have ever seen in person and prob the best fight in UFC history due to star power. McDonald VS Robbie was the best fight in my opinion but this is right there. Conor Is and was always a class act and Nate was as well. Great fight true War and they gave it their all much respect ti both fighters. Conor the King is back. I want to see Conor defend his belt and Nate fight for the 155 belt and re match at 155 for the belt. OR Conor fights at 155 wins the belt and re match at 155 with Nate. They both need at least until March or May to fight again. Nate took way more damage but it was a war and they need to relax and take a step back from this insane year. Congratz to both fighters!!!! CONOR IS BACK!

HEY GUYS!! I was just wondering why do almost all the other fight scoring sites have Diaz winning on points. It's says Diaz won rounds 3, 4, 5 on points. A few even have Diaz winning round 2 as well. It seems the UFC site is the only one that scored the win for McGregor...
@chillbill2166
@chillbill2166 8 жыл бұрын
I guess UFC wanted to make sure there was gonna be a 3rd fight. Also they probably didn't want McGregors era to be over, cause of the money they make off of him... But still to rob a man of his victory to do it ain't cool at all. Like honestly this decision made me lose a lot of respect for Conor. Especially cause Conor is acting like he did something great. When he knows deep down he lost. Conor was running away from Nate, and he kept looking up at that clock thinking "when's this nightmare gonna end" Conor sure got lucky that the bell rang to end round 5. Ten more seconds, and Diaz would have finished Conor for the second time. Only thing Conor did was get an extremely controversial decision. Then Conor had the nerve to say the king is back over that....lol. What a flake.

Diaz s number 5 in the light division for reason, it means he is able to beat number 3 ( I doubt) but can lost to number 8. Connor isn't any king , good fighter who should be ready for very very hard life in the light weight division. Of course Dana White has chance make his life easier, I mean give him at once fight for the title , but let he try go through Habib, dos Anjos, Cerrone, Ferguson, Barbosa...

unbiased opinion... conor did really well but he did not win that fight. business decision for a 3rd fight. He was running away after the 2nd round. He had no octagon control, decent counters though. Diaz controlled the fight after the 2nd. Did better in standup and controlled the fight. That last takedown at the end should've cemented it. If there was another minute he would've tapped him out. then again... woulda, shoulda, coulda... its in the books. time for conor to defend his title finally. I don't think Aldo will be so easy.

As a former mma judge I had round 2 scored 10-8 for McGregor because of the 2 knockdowns... That being said McGregor won round 1,2,4 Diaz won 3,5. Also as a judge I always asked who I would rather be at the end of the fight. Diaz had much more visible damage, also Diaz punches were thrown to score points and had zero force on them. Good fight, McGregor won

Unfortunately, you are a testament to what is wrong with MMA judging. A 10-8 round presupposes dominance of the entire round. The knockdowns were there but Diaz popped right back up. Conor was getting worked for the final 30 seconds of round two. It was a clear 10-9 round for Conor, but certainly not a 10-8.

yea you can say that round 2 was 10 -9 Mcgregor and there'd be some strength behind it. But honestly, If you give Diaz a 9 in round 2 then you have to give a 9 to McGregor in round 3 he was landing on Diaz very cleanly and doing arguably as much damage as Diaz despite panting. I really feel like without audio it's a clearer Mcgregor win but with Joe and everyone harping on McGregor's exhaustion you kind of forget he's still landing cleanly even if nate wins the round on sheer cage control and volume of less clean shots. Then you have round 4 which you really have to give McGregor as a 10-9 round so going into round 5 it's either 39 - 37 McGregor up or even possibly 39 -36 McGregor if you score around 1 or 2 as a 10 - 8. So really in order to win the fight or get a draw, Diaz needed a 10 - 8 round and although he got the takedown it was more or less equal until that point. Despite the fatigue, Diaz just didn't do enough in round 5 or 3 to make them both 10-8 rounds and those are the only rounds you can really give to Diaz under any real judging criteria so unless you can watch this fight and say that round 3 was 10-8 diaz which is a tough sell with connors cleans shots and then say that round 5 was a 10 - 8 which is a super tough sell then the either tie or Mcgregor wins. Connor won 3 rounds 1 was most likely a 10-8 and Diaz had 2 10 -9's the fights gotta go to Connor.

He has huge muscle mass for his frame. The more the muscle, especially the leg muscles, the more oxygen you need, the more weight you carry. Along with that, in many ways he tries to throw everything in his shots, similar to what Gaethje used to do before his 2 losses. McGregor may not be the G.O.A.T, but he's a stud for sure for bravely taking on difficult match-ups

THe second was almost a 10-8 round for mcgregor ( 3 kds, a bloody face for nate, dominate standup), give credit to nate for fighting hard in the last minute and making it just a 10-9 for conor. In boxing it wouldve been scored 9-8 which I think is better because it says more about the round and clears confusion.

1. Conor was 1,2,4 and Nate was 3,5 2. Conor knocked Nate down 3 times, defended all takedowns except last 20 sec one, got lots of leg kicks in, bloodied up Nates face again... 3. If Conor "ran" in that fight...then so did Gus in the Jones fight..but no-one says that about Gus, funny that... 4. Having a neanderthal thick skull is not a skill, Homer Simpson has the same "skill" 5. This was full camp Nate, so if Nate was truly the superior fighter he would have demolished Conor, no? In reality, it was Conor's "devil may care" attitude: him accepting Nate on short notice and never training for specific fighters that led to the first loss. No other fighter does that. Jon Jones ducked Chael because it was short notice FFS, it was only after he was shamed into it by virtue of Conor being so popular did he accept fighting Ovince Saint Preux after DC was out...and he was acting all badass for doing it too... And lastly but not leastly: 6. Cry some more, butthurt brigade....

One knockdown was legit. One was a slip on the wet floor. The last one near the cage wall was a solid hit but you clearly see Nate drop to the ground on purpose to recover because he couldnt back off to do so. Dropping down to rest or recover from getting dazed is a very solid tactic in this fight because there was no way on Earth Conor was going to the ground with Nate. After that, conor got gassed and got hurt from end of 2 on and every time he needed to rest he ran away. In pretty much every other professional fighting organization he would have been penalized by the ref. In fact... one judge deducted a point from him in round 3 for running away.
