Some amazing content in here, hope you make a point of putting more of that post fight hallway content onto dvd's or somewhere. Also the TUF tryouts were interesting enough to make it into the show somewhere. Would love to see the next phase where they use gloves.

@gunfighterdrummer THANK YOU! Finally someone knows what MMA is all about! Its not just stand-up brawling back and forth. Yeah, thats fun to watch and all, but where is the "Mixed" part of Mixed Martial Arts in that?

Good to see Vaughan Lee of UTC signed to the UFC for 138 in the UK. He's the guy in yellow breaking the submission record at about 6:59 in this video blog. He can also be seen at FIGHT UK MMA you tube page last month putting on a submission in one of the bouts in his current win streak that may have contributed to this.

Great Blog..Cool to see Corey Hill, he always seemed like a cool guy. Guy in the yellow was showing some smooth floating jitz but then again we dont know how good his opponent was. Nevertheless he has skill....Wow!!! Clay Guida sleeping, didnt think it was in him.

@Azreck That's the weight they walk around at, both Silva and Alves probably diet down to about 200/185 respectively, and then cut that weight. The only guy I've heard of cutting 20+ pounds is Anthony Johnson, and he's been 5+ pounds over the weight limit twice because of it.
@andywylde13 жыл бұрын
Guy in the yellow is Vaughan Lee. Trains at UTC Birmingam, England. BEAST!

@RatedRkoLegacy520 Things like the achilles tendon are really exposed in the leg and guys tend to put too much force into them just because a leg is stronger than an arm. The pain comes on really quick and tapping can be too late if you aren't careful.
@cujo90513 жыл бұрын
@carlsongracieteam What was that Brazilian guys record? im sure there's a few guys that have good references to get ahead but I remember Jon Fitch not getting picked for the first show and I think the second as well. Who knows, maybe the Brazilian guy only fought submission comps not mma fights.
@pierce1513113 жыл бұрын
@signboyy its not about ignoring him i think its just not wanting to push someones buttons accidently or say something to somebody who probably doesnt wanna talk to anybody at the moment after you lose your belt..
@teyzar13 жыл бұрын
@signboyy I think they were being respectful and giving him space. It was a brutal fight for him i doubt he wants to stop and chat to people; just get to his locker room and take a breather. He'll be back though, anyone else would have been knocked out from that 1st flying knee or the shin kick to the face, but Shogun kept fighting! Heart of a champion.

@haddukken and @carlsongracieteam Vaughan Lee did a recent interview in the UK with Front Row MMA. You can download the podcast from iTunes...its episode 8
@GBDazzler13 жыл бұрын
@BigGee614 they do but they don't pay too much attention till after the grappling session, as dana said in the video after the grappling they'll send people off and then the people that make it through hit the pads then they'll get rid off more people then to interview ultimately the only thing that was holding him back was the record as he looked good on the pads as well.

@kronker in a lot of grappling competitions your are not allowed to slam, and different rules apply to different organizations as well.. you gotta adjust... now this guys are also used to kick and hit, but they could hold themselves from doing it now, didn't they...

geez... the guy in yellow is amazing...
@Leaving_Orbit13 жыл бұрын
@zacht1000 True but Corey Hill also broke his leg in half. One could argue that the injury was a direct result of the hellish dieting. It just doesnt seem healthy and or safe.

Woowww, the Swedish guy is a monster, I can't believe he cuts to 145. Like Dana said he should be fighting as a welterweight. And that guy in yellow is so sick!
@TheSuperklasse13 жыл бұрын
@RatedRkoLegacy520 Leglocks/ankle locks are pretty dangerous by nature. Often people crank a little bit to hard and snap bones or severly injure their partner. So i guess it's just better to avoid all of that by not allowing it.

Knew I recognised Svensson from somewhere! This is the guy who just fought on TUF22 at 155.
@SWEMartin8 жыл бұрын
+xKEG Yupp ;) cant believe that guy used to fight in 145 ;) He was even big compared to the other in the house, like Thanh Le who I thought was pretty big
@ertity8 жыл бұрын
+Marty The guy has like 20 fights, and around half of them at 145. He had dropped from 155 for a couple of fights when this was recorded. And afterwards he continued to fight at 145, maybe a couple at 155 but most at 145. Only missed weight once as I recall. He went up again for this TUF season. Should be healthier to stay at 155.

The guy in yellow is called vaughn harvey from the uk he didn't make it to interview, due to his record it seems.
