The bookies take into account who everyone will be betting on when they set the odds, leon has no fans even though he's a great fighter and khamzat has a lot of mainstream media attention. A lot of people will be betting on khamzat and bookies have to set the odds to prevent them from losing big. If leon was the favourite and khamzat won there would be so much more bets on khamzat than leon that they would lose a fortune. It's balancing the books it's why they never lose and the betters always do in the long run

I remember watching something a couple of weeks back (May have been DC and Helwani but that’s a complete guess) where AKA was a big discussion point. It broke down a lot of their training approach and how it developed a lot of its top athletes through the years. Basically it described the best way forward for Khamzat without even discussing him.
