Rules say, ”you are responsible of your stick”. UFC could work the same. ”You are responsible of your fingers”. Eye poke - lose a point. No questions. For a period of time, there would be crying and bitching and then the sport evolves and fighters start to keep a fist when extending hands. It’s proven, it works. It’s simpe. It’s fair. No more ”well, you can poke two or three times and let’s see then….” How can you attack someone through extended fingers… gives quite an advantage… And it is a good technique untill it’s against the rules.
