@Egaladeist8 жыл бұрын
+Christopher Rothermel You're kidding right...you have to be....Hendricks has 8 KOs in 22 fights, thats barely more than GSP who also has 8 in 27 fights, and GSP isnt even known as a power puncher....Lawler has 20 KOs in 38 fights......Hendricks is a mediocre KO fighter at best. And Woodley has a punchers chance are you serious....in 19 fights he's had 6 KOs. Woodley falls into the category that everyone has a punchers chance. You obviously don't know your stats. Lawler has KOed 52% of the fighters he's faced. Hendricks has a 36% Woodley is at 31% McGregor is at 77% Aldo is at 53% To even be considered a KO artist you need to KO better than 50% or at the very least 40% ...if you're under 40% you have a punchers chance like anyone does. Doesn't make you a puncher. Just means an opportunity presented itself or you get lucky. Woodley either saw an opportunity and took it, or he got lucky. DON'T FEED THE HYPE! It's the stats that matter.

Defense is of prime importance in any fight. The smartest thing to do for any fighter is to keep those hands up high when punches are coming. When one throws a punch, the other hand must always be kept in a guard position. But, hardly any fighter sticks to the basics. And, the basics is the strongest part of fighting.

Nope T-Wood is very fast and powerful. Thompson's chin isn't any great or something, T-Wood will light Wonderboy his ass up.
@Owlpire8 жыл бұрын
I'm a fan of both men. Love Thompson's style, but you can't overlook how Thompson gets rocked. Watch how when Rory was forcing the exchanges every punch Rory landed was hurting Thompson. Also Thompson isn't going to have the speed advantage like he's had with Hendricks, Ellenberger, and MacDonald. Even Ellenberger got one clean punch that dropped Thompson. I'd say Woodley hits harder and faster than Ellenbeger. Even Rory had trouble with Woodley. Saying Wonderboy will "dominate' Woodley is ignorant as hell. The fight is interesting as hell. Thompson with his reach, and kicks makes the fight interesting. Then you have Woodley with his speed, aggression, and wrestling base. You have to wonder can Thompson defend the takedowns? The fight will go two ways - Woodley faints for a takedown and lands a bomb. Or Thompson uses his footwork and kicks to keep Woodley away. Thompson's best bet to winning the fight is body kicks, and kicks up the center line. Thompson will have to avoid being pushed towards the cage and can't move towards Woodley's power punches in both hands. Woodley's best bet to winning the fight is relying on his speed and power. Woodley will have to keep Thompson backing up into the cage and cutting him off from moving. Going for takedowns, and being accurate with his punches. This is a tough fight for both men. Saying one will dominate the other is silly as hell.

Obviously Woodley wants to fight in August because he's already had a training camp and barely got scratched by Lawler of course he's gonna want to fight someone who will get a two weeks notice (ufc 200 being two weeks away from now obviously) and not to mention Diaz has been out for a year and a half and has been on a 3 fight losing streak also WONDERBOY called him out so WOODLEY is a being a little ducking bitch u dumbass
@joshpotts63168 жыл бұрын
It's 202 not 200. Conor is on that card, and Diaz or GSP will make him the most money. It's just a smart business move. He's gonna have to fight again by November anyways. Wonderboy wants November because it'll be at MSG in New York.

Nah, he's too big for everyone else. He's not that good when he fights people his size, but he's really good when he fights those midgets in his weight class
@AllFlashNoDash8 жыл бұрын
Why? Are the Champions wearing the belts too tightly? Is that the reason that they are loosing them? The belts have extra buttons for the right fit.

I always knew Robbie was a great fighter/champion but at the same time I called him one dimensional and people didn't like that but he is, he's all straight forward no wrestling skills and Tyrone exploited Robbie's weakness, but Robbie is still great but Tyrone was always better in my opinion

I don't know why people called that "an upset". Everyone knew that Woodley had the power to finish the fight; not that he would have finished Robbie, but could have.

Just a fucking sad fight man. Robbie has been at his best in his last fights, clearly one of the greatest welterweights. It was just depressing to watch for me
@eqz65918 жыл бұрын
im happy for him he got the chance he well deserved and took the opportunity. don't care if any of you hate on him just cause you ride with Robbie the whole time he's got some skill and a good heart I really just hope he doesn't get tested positive.
@iampyre20168 жыл бұрын
Im not a Robbie fan but i got mad respect about how he handles himself. He didnt get slayed and step off the canvass raddling on about how he was "inefficient" with his energy and how the fight couldah-shouldah went, coming up with knew excuses as each hour passes. No he's a man that believes he's a great athlete and accepts that he got bested, he believes he can climb back up the ladder.

No matter what, Lawler is one of the best WelterWeights ever. Never forget his wars and memorable contributions. As for Woodley, he called on Nick Diaz. May Nick Diaz serve him a 209 ass whoopin.

i remember before the fight, all the comments trashing woodley, saying he'd get knocked the fuck out by a true warrior, that he didnt deserve a title shot, that lawler had this one easily, well hate more now

That was pure casual talk. I had enough since to know that if anybody was getting knocked out it was Lawler.

I absolutely love Robbie Lawler, but I had a feeling he'd get knocked out in this fight. Robbie puts on a great show every single time, but some of his wins have been debatable. I respect him for leaving it all in the Octagon, though.
