On Episode 5 of UFC 189 Embedded, featherweight title contender Chad Mendes continues to train hard in Sacramento, California, motivated by the magnitude of the upcoming event. His opponent Conor McGregor does the same in Las Vegas, capping his day with a big-city display of fireworks. FromPoetryToRap It's 10 episodes of Embedded, and up until a few days ago Jose Aldo was supposed to be the co-feature, not Mendes. So while I get why they're short, at least they are still putting out ten like they said they would despite the champion pulling out. In truth, this is actually really interesting insight. I'm no nuthugger, I don't know who's going to win, but it seems very apparent from the five Embeddeds released that Conor is 100% inside Chad's head, and Conor himself is completely unperturbed by the opponent change. It also seems very self-evident that Conor has a slight, maybe major confidence advantage (hard to gauge). Chad's trivial insults, coupled with the yes men and women around him (Including Uriah =( at least he's a bro to the end. ), kind of elucidates how much positive reinforcement Chad actually relies on. Either way, I hope both men enter 100% physically, mentally and emotionally. Not going to happen of course- it never does, but we'll see. Also I have no idea why it isn't pointed out more often that Conor is training with Gunnar Nelson. Whatever the case, the 'wrestling question' will be decisively answered I believe.

Remember that Jose Aldo's go to against Mendes has been to widen his stance and feed Mendes the single leg when he shoots. The only gap and differences that i see is Conor has wider gap on his forhead and reach advantages but that advantages is useless because Conor fighting style doesn't utilize reach very well that is why many his opponent can still hit Conor even when they has shorter reach. I also have seen Conor tap out twice in his MMA carrer. The Great Jone Jones said once you quite you'll always be a quitters. On the other hands Mendes never quite Aldo Knock him out but the second fight proved it that his not a quitters. A true warrior would never give up only their body can't fight no more. Just like warriors in the past (Spartan or Samurai) they prefer die on battlefield than surrender or give up.
