Them takedowns around 24.06 and 25.07 should have been done at the beginning of the fight. It's like he saved them for that "wow" moment and was out of energy by then. If Mr. W would have came out swinging like that from the beginning the fight would have taken a different turn. These two together was awesome to watch. You saw another match. Whittaker did little to win the belt and Adesanya he did the bare minimum to preserve it. If you are a challenger and you want to win the belt you have to KO your opponent or dominate the match, and I do not know that Whittaker has dominated.

Whoah! Both fighters did well, but Whittaker was robbed, or did I watch a different fight altogether? He had more effective strikes and was the only one to take down the other fighter at any point, though he couldn't keep him down. Adesanya was very good at keeping it standing up.

Yea you probably did watch a different fight. Adesanya won rounds 1-3 imo. 2 Was close because of the takedown but Rob didn't do any damage there. All other takedowns didn't lead to damage either. Izzy landed heavier lowkicks (especially in the first rounds). In rounds 1-3 Izzy outsriked him (look at the significant strikes). Round 4 was close (even there Izzy had slightly more significant strikes but you can give it to Rob because of the takedown). Round 5 close but Rob had more success again because of the takedown

I agree. And it seemed like Adesanya did more running away than any offense. I certainly don't see how takedaowns make the difference in other close fights, but not here. Whittaker' seemed to punch Adesanya' head around many times without the same being done in return. Whittaker didn't even look marked up at the end.

Fue una muy buena pelea de los 2 y en la ofensiva me parecio tambien que en esos round estubo mejor y mostro superioridad robert pero la tecnicas defesivas tambien cuenta bro y la diferesia adesanya estubo increible escapando de multiples posiciones comprometedoras y lo hacia rapido y consistente, es muy escurridiso, ademas mostraba un total dominio del ecenario manteniendo el centro la mayor parte del tiempo que buscava al oponente, buscando las paredes en momentos claves para safarce de sumisiones o levantarse del suelo etc.. hay mucho mas que los golpes en un combate, especialmente en este que fue muy tecnico.

Adesanya no es peso medio, es un peso semicompleto (cortando algo de peso ) mide 1.93 tiene musculo y da 84 kg. No lo se Rick, tienen que verificar los cortes de peso. Wittaker es un peso medio grande pero no corta tanto. El problema que veo es que los tipos enormes en divisiónes más bajas. Jones siempre fue un peso completo disfrazado de un semicompleto al igual que Jan, el problema es que son tipos más pesados, mucho más largos y altos peleando contra personas más cortas y ligeras. Otro caso es el de Frankie Edgar, es un tipo que era un ligero natural de 1.68 y 70kg. Tenía musculo pero no exagerado. Pero en esa división hay gente de 1.90 de estatura y que fácil pesa 80kg o más cortando 15 a 20 kg para pelear con chaparritos. Edgar bajo a pluma y se encuentra que todos los pluma (66) kg miden más de1.78 los que están en el top. Son atletas, el musculo no pesa poco sino más que la grasa. Los cortes de peso que hacen son brutales. Deben de revisar los cortes de peso.

Lo que no entiendo de este deporte es porque el retador tiene que demostrar con creces que es mucho mejor que el campeón, claramente adesanya es un gran peleador pero no ha podido hacer nada con este hombre, no le ha dejado, whittaker no le ha podido dominar en el suelo pero le ha tirado tres o cuatro veces, le ha metido jab de izquierda los que ha querido, le ha cazado tres o cuatro derechas, adesanya se ha hecho daño en la mano de todas las veces que se ha cubierto bien whittaker "qué ha sido toda la pelea" a veces parece que hay que pegar palizas al campeón para demostrar que ha sido mejor, no se le puede llamar tongo porque este deporte es así pero para mí esa norma es un tongo

Lo derriba pero no lo mantiene en el piso, Adesanya se levanta rápido, el volumen de golpes también cuenta, las combinaciones cuentan mucho, no solo dar un golpe cada minuto, Israel mantuvo una presión constante, pues el proponía los intercambios, antes de escribir tu letanía, debes saber del deporte y cómo se califica, no solo dejarte llevar por favoritismo u tu odio contra algún peleador, saludos.

Está bien que adesanya haya ido al frente pero tampoco hiso mucho y el round dónde saco más ventaja con el golpeó fue en el 1ro del resto los ronds fueron tan parejos que fácilmente pudo llevárselos wittaker con los derribos así no haya tenido mucho tiempo de control. El simple takedown tiene que valorarse además cada vez que se levantaba lo dominaban contra la reja al menos un minuto. Ninguno domino claramente pero aún así evaluando cada round por individual como debe ser la pelea era de Robert.

Adesanyas entire game is about avoiding war, I dont think he got the guts for an actual war. He is a great fighter but Im a spectator. Its abit like watching a sniper do his thing, fucking boring and Im getting urge to slow clap. I understand what he is doing is difficult and unique, the warrior in me acknowledge. The whole fight was like that except Rob took him down once in every round except the first and that was the most action in the fight. The last round Whittaker was starting to poor it on more and if there was another round I bet things would of changed. But yea definitely too high to see that.
